Sure. I had a girlfriend who was a photographer, and every once in a while she would take a snap. They're the only photos of myself in my twenties that I like. Usually, I see a camera or a phone and I have some weird face on trying not to have a weird face on, but she got shots of me looking at things I really liked, on stage, or working at my (get ready) typewriter. I'm the guy behind the camera in my life now, so I don't have a lot of pictures taken of me. That's best.
I've honestly never seen a good selfie of anyone. You look at them and have an idea of what that person might look like. People are at their best when they're doing things and not thinking about themselves. As selfies go, yours is fine, but Luna, busy being a dog, looks like I bet she really looks.
Ah well now I see what you mean. Yes those photos are fine when it's someone you're close with and they take a shot of you... But ya know, a random person doing that is weird
I agree, when people are just being themselves they look better, not when their TRYING for that perfect picture... Then it's always gonna look awkward.
Yah Luna sometimes looks a bit wonky
.She gets what we call "Yoda ears" where her ears go out like Yoda's ears. There she was just being distracted by everything and wasn't sitting still.

I do notice a difference actually... The ones you took a selfie on seems like it was harder to form a natural facial expression while the ones that are not selfies feel way more natural with the smile and posture.
(When I said that I was NOT saying you don't look good in the selfies or any of the photos for that matter, don't worry... I don't think you can make yourself look bad really. Can't do something when it's not possible.... That DOESN'T mean it's a challenge of course. Don't try to.)
It just goes for all selfies really. It's hard to make yourself look natural or do a good smile at times when you are seeing your reflection. That's what I've noticed at least from pictures I've seen and me trying to do selfies (I rarely ever do but when I do that's what I have taken note of).

My sister made menthol and honey cough drops and I'm addicted.

I tend to like candid photos of myself better too. When I know I'm being photographed I usually make a dumb face because I'm feeling awkward and I don't know what to do with my face. See profile photo for exhibit A.
