What are you doing today?

I'm watching baseball playoffs again. Happy to say that my Cleveland won again to knock out Tampa Bay and go on to face the NY Yankees in the next playoff stage. But what a game and series even if it was only a three game series. Cleveland won yesterday 2-1 and won today 1-0 in 15 innings. Odd thing is that in 2 games they played 24 innings and there were only a total of 4 runs scored and all came from hone runs. Amazing pitching match-ups!

Also went out to get some groceries and grabbed an apple to slice for my fish food meal worms. While out I also got some Prime de-chlorination stuff and Flourish Iron. Later, after baseball, I'll do a water change of 30-50% but was really low on Prime. The Flourish Iron is for my plants but I'll only add 2-3 drops 1-2 times a week. This is mainly to enhance the red color in my Tiger Lotus and red stemmed Anubias.

Got the thumbs up to sign and seal my painting. Shipping it off tomorrow or Monday. Yay! Progress video is coming soon
Ok I understood everything except for "went to the thumbs up" 🤣
Is that a shipping company or...

Thank you! You saw it legitimately like 5 seconds after I posted

Today (like at 0430) was moving day for Fred Betta. Currently he is doing the full on zoomies with occasional stops at the front glass, wiggling his tail at me then off again doing his lengths of the aquarium. He has gone from a zoomie length of 35cm to one of 80cm....he's a happy little sausage (still beating up his mini moss balls though)

I shall let him settle in for a couple days before taking a photo....he is far too busy exploringb his new swimming pool.

Also changed the lights from the supplied one to my usual Nicrew LED RGB MCR. I do have a couple of reservations. I prefer a little redundancy in my aquarium equipment and the supplied heater is a very good one (AquaEl Platinum - same as the one in my 53 gallon) but it is 100w for 105 litres....so will be ordering a 150w next week. The other reservation is the filter. The aquarium came with an AquaEl ASAP 700, which I am not keen on, so changed to a well used AquaEl Turbo 500 with media from the 53 gallon. I think the flow might be a little too strong but I am going to keep an eye on things cos Fred does seem to be perfectly fine so far.....if need be I shall order a CF2 instead which is a waterfall type, he had a CF1 in his cube and was fine with that but the CF1 is not big enough to deal with 105 litres.

The lights in both aquariums run off the same remote control, so much easier to use.

Later it is BTCC final race meet where this year's champion will be awarded the trophy, its a very close race to be champion this year tween 4 drivers so will be interesting to watch.

I might even manage to park my behind today too....which my back will no doubt appreciate

Watching one of the BTCC support races. Porsche Carrera Cup

One of the drivers, Will Martin, came off the track, spun backwards and ended up wedged tween two trees and his car sitting on top of a marshalls shed at well over 100mph.

Miraculous....no injuries whatsoever. (Probably a few brown trousers though)

I'm back from a shopping expedition and roof fixing expedition to Halifax, where my daughters' house had a minor post-Fiona roof leak. I think I got it covered - damaged chimney flashing. I got to sit on a roof looking out at the harbour - quite beautiful.
I hit 3 stores, all decent. I bought ten beckfordi pencils (I think, they were sold as 'red pencils' and are still stressed and young), 5 pygmy Corys and 6 Corydoras punctatum. All should be good for future videos, as they grow and I get behaviour worth filming.

It's Canadian Thanksgiving, so there is a turkey in my near future. The sun is melting a hard frost - the grass was coated and crunchy when I walked the dog this morning. Today, I work on the roof and walls off an old shed. Next Spring, the frame will be used to make a greenhouse. For today, we'll put a tarp on tightly for the winter. My neighbour cut down a huge gnarled tree that the local crow gang had a nest in - the tree had become dangerous. So my crow buddies are very upset, and I'll have them yelling at me today.
