Fish Crazy
I do have floating plants in the tank. They pretty much stay on one half of the tank because of the filter output blows them that way. All of the fish were staying to the one side of the tank under the plants. The Gouramies would not go up for air under the plants they would go to the side without 
I used tinfoil instead. I kind of made X patterns and slices through a couple of other peices. Now it looks somewhat like sunlight coming through. All of the fish seem to be quite happy. I have a spare cycled 10 gal that has 2 pregnant Guppies in it now so if I see any problems I can move my stock around some.
Besides, the tinfoil & electrical tape were a lot cheaper!
