Thinking Of Going Marine

keeping corals you need around 6720 l/h, that gives you 30 times turnover

2 koralia 2's would give you 4600, id go with 3 koralia 2's

also ive ordered off that site...highly reccomended :good:

I always prefer to have multiple pumps/powerheads. In case one dies, your tank can limp along on the other till you can get a replacement. Cause if you have just one pump and it fails on you, your tank will be a rotting pile of death in a matter of hours...

Right i think i will stick will the 2 Koralia 3s. Thanks again

What marine and reef books are worth getting, i already have The Conscientious Marine Aquarist: A Commonsense Handbook for Successful Saltwater Hobbyists by Robert M. Fenner

There is a pinned topic of reading source reviews on here. Have a read through, adn you will find many books and sites that members have found useful. Keep meaning to have a skim through myself at some point...

Hey thanks rabbut, Ill give it a look!

Would work out cheaper to get just the tank and then get the rest of the gear to suit your specs. There is like no light there, so that will need upgrading for many corals. (Some softies may be OK, but nothing exotic) the filter is OK for circulation and chemical/mechanical filtering, but is not required IMO. The Red Sea Prisum skimmers get varying reviews. I read mostly good ones, but a few don't like them....

Circulation pumps are not included and the two filters alone won't give enough flow....

I'd personally get the tank alone and shop around for the rest. That marine package isn't a great deal IMHO.

The size could be open to debate, so I'll leave the stocking suitability to the other members, as TBH I don't know much about most of the fish on your whish list...

The link does not work. When clicked my browser says "The requested resource could not be found". Might want to re-add the URL for the page ;)

As said above, I don't know much about all the fish you want, I've just about got myself up-to-speed with the hardware side and smaller tank inhabitants... From a suitability for marine point of view, any glass box will be fine :shifty: but sizes become important if there are certain fish you want :good: I'd advise waiting for someone else to confirm it is large enough before buying it, if you can get the link fixed.
