Hey Lovelies!!!!


Boy, am I stupid.. I was working on Tektronix 577 curve tracer for the last two days.. I was having an issue with the step generator function.. I was trying to measure the step generator gain accuracy and was having issues trying to generate more than one step. I knew I had a switch in the wrong position, or somethang... So I spent aboot an hour going through the pocedure to see what I mist.. I dint see anythang wrong, so I figured it must be broken, so I set it aside to work on other thangs..

This morning I revisited the curve tracer.. well guess what.. I mist a jumper that I was supposed to set between the right side base to collector.. Once I installed the jumper.. BOOM, got my ten steps!


All my fish are alive and well..

Woops, I accidentally fed one of my cherry skrimps to my angel fish today.. Was scooping out guppy fry to feed my angels when one of the skrimps hitched a ride in the net.. poor lil feller got torn apart..

Hey Lovelies! Nothing really new today, did a serious clean job on the HOB filters for Zach's 55 gallon & did more than a 1/3 water change. Fish seem happy about it. Tonight we're doing the 20 gallon, at least a 50% water change so I can move the tank & stand across the room.

But first, all tanks will get a tasty frozen brine shrimp dinner.

I fixt a Tektronix 577 curve tracer today.. A couple days ago I went into the engineering lab and the whole place stunk like burnt electrons (you electronical types out there know the smell I am talking aboot).. So I went around to all the benches trying to identify the source of the smell.. Couldn't find the source.. Later that day I found the curve tracer on the floor labeled "seriously smoked, do not use"..

So I took it to the lab and took it all apart.. I found one 22 ohm resistor burnt so bad the circuit board it was mounted to was burnt.. That resistor eventually broke down and shorted out causing another resistor to burn up too.. The cause of the damage was connecting a voltage source to the sense lines..


Tomorrow I has to ensure it's operating within spec..

Been losing my female guppies slowly, but today I found 3 dead and one of my beautiful salt and pepper platy dead as well

I'm starting to aim towards the molly pair for the abuse but I still have no idea. I might see what happens or move the really good looking males into my 125 gallon and fill the 75 gallon with platy instead of guppies I dont know yet

Edit: just found one of my whiptail catfish dead as well... No idea whats up with my tank all the parameters check out and I did my waterchange on tuesday like I always do

It just keeps adding up... just got home from work and I heard one of the tanks water running like the water level was lowered. Came inside to see that my 70 gallon pictus catfish tank apparently now has a leak in the corner about 1/3 of the way down, half my living room carpet is soaked and I gotta go get more paper towels. I wasn't planning on it but now it seems i gotta go to the fish store out of town and get some sealant and possibly a new tank ._.

I moved the pictus to my 50 gallon for now, I just cant get a break this week
