ps3!

So, the infection on my male Sailfin molly got worse after adding the meds for the past 2 days, and he was pretty much near death so I had to end it for him, now the female looks to be getting the same thing but its spreading to her eye

Gonna clean out my QT tank and put her in it and do some water tests in a minute. I added some new platy the other day to replace the lost guppies and they're still ok I saw a dead one tied in a plant though but I'm sure it was one of my originals, I'll need to look at it closer when I move the molly. Rest of the fish appear fine with no signs of anything on them. Just hoping this tank still stabilize soon, I did lose some in my 125 gallon for the first month or so but its been quiet awhile and I've had no losses *knocks on wood*

Also installed Windows 8 last night, gonna take me awhile to get used to the Metro/Start screen and customize it how I want

...........and so the XBox vs. PS3 controversy continues.............

Hey Lovelies! I need to seriously clean some algae from my Bettatown tanks. Any recommendations? I'm already cutting the daylight time for them drastically and that seems to have helped a lot. Should I try some Oto's? I'd think they'd have plenty to eat in these tanks, that's for sure. Maybe some Mystery Snails instead? I'm already cutting the daylight time for them drastically and that seems to have helped a lot.

Hey Lovelies, my dryer broke late last week! It turns on but won't spin. I figured it's a belt so I broke out my trusty tools & went to work. Sure enough there's the broken belt laying in the bottom. I took the numbers off it to look it up on Amazon and I ordered a brand new one for $6.25 including shipping and no tax. Should be here by Wednesday of this week. Very good news since the one my wife wanted to replace it with costs $1300 or so.............

I don't really see Amano Shrimp available around here, but I've never really looked for them either. Maybe I'll check them out.

Ottos should work, most of my tanks are in the living room and get some kind of direct sunlight plus the tank lights are on ~15 hours a day or so and I dont have any algae. I have some snails that came with plants and my large tank is home to a bristlenose who prob manages the entire tank. Some of them dont even have algae eaters and the tanks are fine

My bigger tanks are fine, it's just the 2 Betta tanks, a divided 10 gallon & a 3 gallon. It probably because I haven't put their lights on a timer yet and frequently for get & leave them on for 12-15 hours. That combined with the minimal water movement created by the filters in these tanks probably. I also added a couple of Moss Balls and I'd like to get some more but they're like $7.99 each locally. Moss balls tend to outcompete the algae for the same nutrients supposedly.

Hey Lovelies!

Man I can't wait for the Christmas break! We're off for a week and a half starting with a half day Dec. 21st, which is cool cause the world's supposed to end and I'll probably need to do stuff. Then we don't have to come back until January 2nd, assuming the world hasn't ended of course.

My tank! Just figured out I can post with my pictures iPhone! Aww was too big :( ill try to resize :/

That's interesting aboot moss balls out-competing algae. Might get me some. I've noticed it's creeping back in my 180.
All seems well fish-wise. Still haven't found a girl-friend for Alejandro. Poor divil.
I noticed the temp in the 180 was only at 22 yesterday even though it's set at 36 so it's up to the max now and it's reached 24. Think I'll invest in a better heater.
Almost guppytime.

Hey Lovelies!!!

Got a lot accomplished today. One of my customers dropped a Keithley 230 voltage supply.. Had to take it apart to inspect the internals. Found the IEEE interface ribbon cable off, as well as a standoff was broken on the motherboard.

Once I fixt it, it worked within spec..

Somethang interesting today.. I worked on a SOHED tester. Apparently a SOHED is an industry standard for an electronic package.. Surface mounted somethang or other... So the floor tech who works on this thang couldn't figure out how to calibrate it.. That's where I came in.. Hasing never worked on the tool before I got it working and calibrated in under an hour..

Hey Lovelies!
Hambone that made me laugh.

Gettin a buzz at feeding time with Freckles the molly and Balthazar the betta. They're like little puppies waiting and they go over to the same spot and eat from my finger.
