Setting Up The 29g. Totally Psyched I Have Saltwater In My Living Room

you just gotta love the goby!

FYI as you may have seen in my journal it'll peck at live SPS and damage them, so be warned if you ever plan on getting any acropora species etc.
if you're going just softies and LPS you'll be fine.

it does seem to be a very common thing for a shrimp to shed its skin when introduced to a new aquarium, i wonder if its some sort of reaction to new water conditions?

This tank won't have any sps in it. I know all about them :) Now if I can get him to eat. Yesterday was his first full day in my tank though. I'm not surprised he stayed hidden in the acro skeleton. I'll try again Sat or Sun.

Just a note and it's something that I've never thought of. My sg is down to 1.021. The only thing I can think of is all the acclimating I've done in the last 6 days. When I took water out for acclimation(drip method) it was being topped off by RO w/my ato unit. I never thought about that until I checked my sg. It seemed like such a small amount of water. Now I'm manually topping off with salt water.

Nice goby :good: my cleaner shrimp shed there skin all the time and no matter how many times i see it, at first glance i always think I have lost them, great shrimp, i would not have a tank without them.

More goby pics just for you Bagu (and a VIDEO). My glass is still a bit water spotted from doing some work in the tank earlier  my bad. Somehow I do something and then think hey that would be a great shot or video and then later I'm thinking crap I shoulda cleaned the glass...lol.

He did eat a bit today. Made me happy. He's swiming around b/c I turned the ph off when I fed him. I put the food in right over his head in hopes that he'd eat something. He nibbled at a bit so that's a good sign. His belly is a bit concave so I'm going to see about getting some medicated stuff to soak his food in. Better safe than sorry.

Hey thanks :) I was debating between that one and the green clown goby and the citron goby. The yellow won :hooray:

Most of the time it sits hiding somewhere in my tank. My lr has nooks and crannies all over and he can hide really well. Even with his bright yellow it takes me a minute to find him. camouflage skills :ninja:

i hope truck comes back and joins us :(

he is the one that got me loving yellow clown gobys

hehe, he is a stunner!
