This is an extremely cool thread. Probably website-worthy when you're finished (I love sites with step-by-step setups). Looking forward to future pics.
I have a heavily planted 60L tank and some others with just some plants and my babies, dwarf puffers and bettas. Well, I decided to move those plants to my 500L right away. I took 5 plants from the other tanks and lots of plants from the 60l. Now I have a planted 60L and a planted 500L.
I did'nt realise how much there were in that small tank. I'll take a picture soon. It's kinda cool And weird.
I put all the lights I have on top of the tank. Right one is a 18W 10000K Aquastar, left ones are 36W 4000K and 3500K tubes. So, the lighting isn't good atm, but it'll have to do until I get the metal halides hanging from the ceiling.
I like it. First inhabitants are in, a handful of malaysian trumpet snails. They have such a beautiful, heart shaped faces
I also added some sand from other tanks, bacteria from normal soil and shrimp sticks for snails (and to get ammonia/ammonium). pH 7, KH 3, GH 5, NO2 0, NO3 0. Oh, and I started adding CO2.
