Sal Goes Rio With A Bit Of Vision

Or for an even better thread, look for its new owners thread, Spurry. :good:

The Rams may dig, but if the moss is meshed like yours is then it will probably be fine.

the rocks do actually look good in the corner of the tank, but i still think the rock needs to be bigger.

I'll have a search later. He is already convinced and I am softening to the idea, as long as I get my nano marine. One on my local FB fishgroup is selling a malawi tank, 240l with 200 malawis in it. Is that normal? Ours is 340l, so we would have something like 250-300 malawis?

Yes, moss will be meshed and the rams wouldnt' be added til the very end, so by then all should be nicely grown and tight for digging. I know, the height. Will add moss tomorrow and the rainbows after and see what it looks like then.

P.s.: I'm surprised nobody has commented on the roaring dinosaurs yet

LOL, not it's not normal. You would be looking at 30-40 imo. Best to look out on aquarist classifieds for people selling fry, by a group and grow them on. You will need more females than males.

ps. I think the problem with the rocks has more to do with the angles they are at then being on the left side. The rock at back/right, is facing the same direction as the back/left. There's just something about the angles that are not letting it look as interesting as it could.

In your picture of your view in the house it looked nice though. I have my 75g scaped because of where I sit in the house.

We are watching Masterchef US. I was planning on downloading the Australia one, is the UK one good too? I gots the hots for Ramsey.

UK is always the best  Australia is good too, but that female presenter is annoying and pointless. Just get cooking.

Back to fish...

Ok, so the guy has heavily overstocked his tank. Don't know if I am allowed to link a picture, probably not. But yes, would be getting fry off those groups probably as all very local.

I know, but the one on the back right is so nicely pointed. Will see how it looks with the moss and then decided whether to add more and change things around. As I said, it needs to look good from my point of view in the house.

fs, missed this thread, just catching up :D

I spotted those rocks in eBay too, not sure what to get for my shelly tank at the moment but i'm looking at the elephant skin rocks, nice and dark, same as i've used in a nano. Could get expensive :|

Tanks look great ! :D

Australian masterchef is brilliant. Puts the UK one to shame.

Good view of your tanks.

Tizer don't get live rock. Now that is expensive.

Thanks Tizer and Xray :)

I like the UK version because John and Gregg are hilarious together.

Tiz, I have lava rock in my shellies tank. Cheep and cheerful, but nice and dark.

yeah, i noticed, i don't like the look of it, not my cuppa :D

I emailed the eBay supplier you linked earlier and hes said they can put together a 20kg box of rock where all the pieces are fist size or bigger, so no crappy bits. :D 20kg ordered! money to burn! ziiiiiiing

That's good Tizer. Will look great :good:

So, next update.

I got my moss today. I put it in the tank and I don't think I got enough (even though those few pieces already cost me a bomb considering what it is  ). Is it enough and will it spread or do I get at least another six mesh with weeping moss? I got six so far and two flame moss. And some spiky moss for the other tank.

Arrival :hyper:

Weeping moss (which I was hoping will cover the whole right hand side)

Flame moss around the rocks (and Brachiosaurus wanting to take a munch :fun:)

So, what do I do next? Can I add my two dwarf gouramis? Will they produce enough bioload or should I straight add the shoal of dwarf rainbows in? More moss? More rocks?

I had a hard time looking at this photo.

I hope the moss works out, haven't had experience with any yet. The java moss I do have, has been growing in a bowl in my kitchen window
