Saintly's60x30x36 Optiwhite( Re Scape)

Haha, at that growth rate the rocks will be coverd by the carpet :p Looking good, final shots should be a winner.

How much co2 do you burn on each tank Mark?

Fantastic growth mate :) What do you think of HC now? And I know its early days, but what do you have in mind for your next scape? :D

thanks sam, moondustbob,

well im loving hc, way better looking than glosso.

ive got a 2kg FE on the big tank which has lasted 3 months @4/5 bubbles per second.

the smaller tank ive got a 500g bottle and still waiting for final stats.

yeh im planing my next set up allready....thats the real fun bit :good:

it will be replacing the larger tank ( same stand) but an opti white 120 x 40 x 45. maybe usingdrift wood. allthough i still want to master the iwagumi setups. i dont feel these two tanks are in the league that i would like for myself. hence wanting to keep trying and learning.

thanks for reading

Wow, I burn 2kg of co2 in 4 weeks on my 20 gal

Nothing wrong with using driftwood in Iwagumi scapes. Maybe not as a main focal point though. After all, natural rock formations pop up everywhere, not just in the middle of lush green Japanese fields :D

Beautiful growth and layout. I find the white glare of the photo a bit harsh, though. That may just be me.

its fine that the background is too bright, these are only test shots. im in the process of learning the best way to shoot this tank. im aware that its a little too brite

ive taken some more since then which are much better. every photo at the minute, is just experimentation folks. nothing final yet. :good:

the following are expeimentation with colour tone.

That is better, though the plant detail still isn't crisp. How do you like your Hyphessobrycon amandae (Ember tetras)? I think mine are great, a nice little tetra. What do you feed yours?

llj

the picture isnt crisp because i used f2,8 on the camera. intentionaly. i wanted a low depth of field. attention on the fish. shooting f11 sharp images get boring sometimes.

embers are nice, feeding seems to be a pain though. there fussy. i have to break a tablet crush it into powder form and give them this. they wont take flake or even micro pellets.

what do you feed yours?

Mine eat crushed prepared foods (they love the HBH Super soft in both Spiralina and Shrimp), micro pellets (Hikari), frozen foods, and BBS (yeah Baby Brine Shimp). They go nuts for the BBS and it's their favorite. The eggs were expensive initially, but I have like a 2 year supply now, well worth the investment. Once I start breeding my pygmy catfish, I'll add leftover microworms to the list.

full tank shot before trim...

after trim and incusion of Hemmanthus Micranthemoides(still to be ID'd) the e tennelus will grow back, so all should be well again in a few weeks time.

if i can grow healthy plants, anyone can. its brilliant stuff :good:

Your like George lol, he always goes on about supposedly not being able to produce good scapes... You say you cant grow plants without it - and both of you can do those things lol

your back aaron, nice to see you again.

seriously mate it does work wonders. i aint no green fingered plant guru. i was crap before i started using ADA gear.

anyways, update! shall be trimming at weekend :good:

Very pretty. I like the addition of the HM. It'll look especially nice when it starts to branch. It'll be a long while before I can afford ADA stuff, so enjoy the fact that you can. :)
