the blue light is just a 9 w arcadia on the small tank and 2 x 11 w on the big.

a little birdy informed me of some great tips on how to get hc started off. and dosing excell was one of them. not permanetly though. hc loves it!

just realised what you mean arron, regarding the blue light. sorry.

thats the blue led of my pc behind me, yeh i know, reflections and all that...

Very nice, given a few weeks to fill out, thats is gonna look stunning :)

It looks nice. How are you going to get your external into the cabinet now
Do you find the water evaporates and leaves limescale marks round the top of the tank like I do? I live in a very hard water area though.

hi mermaid, ive adapted the cabinet. everythings out until i know its all running smoothly. well thats the idea.

water does evaporate, but i dont get any marks. using ada aquasoil reduces the hardness of the water. amazing stuff, honestly. i wont use anything else.

a shot from the side. the more i look at this, the more i want to do a rescape in my big tank.

cheers

It's probably written down in the thread, but to save me looking, what plants have you used? Cheers :good:

no probs mel,

in the fore ground.... hc Hemianthus callitrichoides

then Pogostemon helferi around the front of rocks

at the side of rocks Echinodorus tenellus

and then in the background vivipara (Eleocharis )

there just a bunch of plants that work well together. typycal amano layout really. he uses these alot in his iwagumi layouts.
