nice one rob, was wondering where you had got to.

im after a green monti too...how are your other SPS doing btw?

yeah sorry have been skulking in the shadows a bit :ninja:
work has been manic so have only had the chance to make the odd post here and there.

SPS are doing OK. Hysterix is really growing well and has good white growth tips all over. It was starting to fade a bit so i moved it to right under the halide and its much happier. It seems that although its a brown colour the polyps have gone a nice purple.
Sadly the large blue tipped acro completely died from the attentions of the yellow bean gobies. buts its starting to colour up from algae/corraline so isn't bright white any more.
The orange montipora is growing rapidly too and has become the bi-colour blenny's favourite perch to sit on.

will have to see how the new digitata will do. Was hoping that as it wasn't an acro shape the bean gobies would leave it alone, but have noticed today that they are sitting in it and nipping at it occasionally. bloody things. They're very cute but a real PITA if you want SPS!

the duncan is new from mail order corals, came yesterday. was meant to be a 2 head frag but as it turns out its got 3. Sulked all of yesterday and has just opened up today.
if i remember right Tina you had one that didn't really open for a while? what sort of flow/light did you find it preferred?

mine is in medium flow and right at the bottom off to one side at the moment till i can decide where to put it.

It likes medium to strong flow, mine opens much better that way, I also placed it in moderate PC light, you may get away with lower under a halide.

Ensure you feed feed feed, it responds very well to heavy feeding. Very nice frag.

It does not like my bryopsis algae, have to keep pulling that away from round it, I think thats slowed mine down. Given the above conditions, it should do very well.

£3 is seriously cheap!
mine was £15 and was only meant to be a double head!

might have sourced some for £3.85 per head, so i think i may get some more.

I know. Now they are going for between £7-10 each. If you are able to tell me where the £3.85 is I would appreciate it (PM me if need be). Thanks.
