Right, I Seriously Need Your Help!

You can make this hobby as cheap or as expensive as you like, its all up to you
Like everything in the modern world you pay more for gadgetry that is controllable.
You wish to keep costs down to a minimum (to begin with atleast).
So I would use your canister filter to power a SCWD. This should give you a good flowrate depending on the size of the canister.
Lights have been covered, (I would personally go with an Arcadia Classica MH unt.
Tub of Salt
Refractometer
Heater Thermostat (to suit tank volume)
Thermometer
Possible Small Hang-on Skimmer (good but not essential)
Coral Gravel (If prefered)
Liverock (or make your own) involves a bit of work..
Test Kits
Spare buckets/powerhead/heaterstat for mixing saltwater
Small weighing scales/ ladle/ TurkeyBaster/ Toothbrush
Algal Scraper

A good book and there's no substitute for research.

I'm sure theres something I've left out but thats the basic low level version to get started

Well to be fair I think it would be best to get set up with everything I will need,
for now and the future.

Agreed

As im not to fussed about them now, but sure I will want them in the future.
Urgh, Im worried about this.
Im not a very "practical" kid.
And my dad is just a stress head.

Welcome to my world and i'm fifty!!!

So I can see me having some problems with the hood.

Nah, it's do-able

Would anyone be so kind to give me a list of equipment I would need,
and what they would recommend.
So how much LR, Powerheads (how many), etc etc.

Live rock - approx 15 k remember you will get some on any corals you buy so maybe even less - try to get from someone breaking down a tank and transport in water :good: think there is someone on UR in your area breaking down a tank
korallia 1 - off ebay
cheapo power head for mixing salt water
good heater - Rena smart - try aquacadabra or ebay, or UR (PM me if you do not know what UR is)
cheap heater for mixing salt water
bucket to mix water in - the stackable ones are fine or an old salt bucket if someone will give you one
sand - don't buy live sand, just aragonite sand about 15 lbs
temp. monitor
syphon
bucket
good quality magnet cleaner
refractometer - i wouldn't buy a hydrometer
good quality marine salt such as D &D H2 Ocean
tests - salifert: Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, ph just for now

sure i have missed something but someone will notice I am sure and let you know :good:

Remember, the only stupid question is the one not asked :good:

ah, knew I forgot something - skimmer, not everyone runs one on a nano, but i would recommend

Well, time to start reading.
The list to me looks like
34794037328601234345
But im sure I will get the hang of it.
What would you advise me to get first?
Im going for the cheapest route.
Urghh.
I dont understand this, but I dont want to sound like a noob.
I suppose everyone starts off somwhere.
Basically I am aiming to have a list of specific items that I need
for the end of july.
As thats when I will slowly start buying things.
I am hoping to spend less than £300 on equipment.
You think thats possible?

The Lighting, Salt and LR will be the most costly
and I'd say you'll come in around the £400 mark depending on how thrifty you are.

Would I need one or two powerheads?

Also - What do you search on fleabay to find the fake ones?

Also - how many fish would be suitable in the 95ltr? Do corals and inverts (shrimps+snails) count towards the stock, or does it not effect the stock?
I think my girlfriend wants me to get a clown, but im sure I read there best in pairs and closes alot of paths off for different fish.

Also I like one fish that was in the LFS, looks like an alien, I think its a type of box fish.
Does this close alot of paths off aswell?

I know im looking abit far and I should be looking at equipment first, but no harm in looking is there.

How long is a piece of string? Depends completely on what you have. Its just like with Tropicals in that sense. The Corals and inverts can affect the stock depending on what you have e.g. you can't get a fish which grazes on corals if you want to keep corals.

Depends what it was. I think as a rule of thumb most 'box' fish tend to get fairly large.

Ah ok.
Ah, so im after the "ReefSafe" fish?
that right?
I would only want Hard Corals tbh.
Do all corals require hard lighting?
