hi
what size is the tank?

RTB sharks are known for their aggression, especially when they are put into tanks that they feel are too small for them, although if you have a BGK it should be pretty large, and so the aggression may be increased by another factor, i.e. water quality for example?

Do you know the water stats?

I have a 90 litre tank, i am not sure of my water stats i have a liquid test done at my lfs every week and he advices me if i need to do anything and provides me with anything for my tank.

I'm afraid thats your problem then, 90 Litres is only 23 USG,

50 USG (189 Litres) is the suggested bare minimum tank size needed for a RTB shark
not to mention that you need about a 100 USG (378 Litres) to keep a BGK for life.

What other fish do you have in the tank?

three golden barbs
two tiger barbs
two black phantoms
two albino corys
ghost knife
britlenose pleco

tank is too small for a BN plec as they cna get to 12-14cm's thats imo anyway. i would get rid of the shark, get rid of the BN and get rid of the ghost knife. then you could get more corries (like to be in groups of at least 6!!!!) and up the numbers of the fish you already have by one.

ok as the BGK will grow to about 18 inches and will eat most of your smaller fish as it grows, it will need rehoming,
Also the Shark will need rehoming as the aggression will only get worse as it grows,

Cool cheers fo advice! Is there any plec I could get in this tank?

What is best way to offload fish to good homes?

most plecs will get too big, get a bigger tank like a 120l and you can get a clown plec or a bulldog plec.

I'd say leave the Bristlenose, as long as you keep up with maintenance it'll be ok,

You can advertise fish in the buy/sell section on here

go to board index section where it shows all the topics, and scroll down, its right near the bottom.
