I'm setting up a NA native tank. Sunfish, minnows and maybe logperch. We'll see.

Just a fish store in my local area. Some stores will offer magazines for free and some don't. It just depends on the shop.

They probably get the magazines for free. The magazine company probably hopes to get people to subscribe to their magazine after reading the sample issue.

Dentists and barbers here in the US often are given free subscriptions so patients can read them in the waiting area. The magazine company hopes to get new subscribers this way.

Well I just bought 2 books "Manual of Fish Health and Stocking" and "Encyclopedia of aquatic plants" on Amazon, it will be here in a month, Amazon shipping is incredibly slow lately might due to Covid.

Yeah.....its almost 24 sept my birthday.

I have never get Birthday present from my family in my entire life, my uncle is the only one to give me due to his birthday is the same day as mine

Took the kids swimming the other day at Tappan Reservoir and my wife and I went kayaking yesterday, also at Tappan. Overall had a good time, but there are some sick people out there. They have a few small sandy beaches where families frequently play and besides countless broken bottles (there aren't even any rocks to break them on!) in the shallow water, someone thought it was a good idea to take a bunch of nails and bury them pointing straight up in the sand in the water a few feet from the shore. They spread them out across the whole width of the beach. Who does something like that?! Children play there!

On a brighter note, we did have fun playing in the wakes of boaters and jet skiers in our kayaks. We also caught several water scorpions (stick bugs that live in the water) and a young queen snake that the kids loved playing with before we released it.View attachment 113830View attachment 113831

You cant miss my avatar. Ive had the same avatar since I’ve been here. It’s a hand Painted large wooden fish that to me looks like a neon blue dwarf gourami like the one I have in my 35 gallon tank.

It’s difficult to take a large clear picture of a live fish but it’s easy to take a pic of a non-moving wooden fish .

I can't wrap my head around that one, either. My mind simply doesn't work that way.

I haven't memorized anyone's avatar yet besides Whistling Badger, which I noticed changed. But, I browse on a cell phone, so avatars are smaller than my pinky nail.

Can I change my settings to view the site in a dark theme/mode? I didn't see that feature. The white hurts my eyes.
