I’ve been getting better at basketball, without really even trying.

A month ago, I thought the sport was stupid and I would never be good at it, until a coworker invited me to play with the other coworkers. I said ok, but I was going to be bad. And I was... the first few times. After that, I started getting better and better.

Lately, I’ve been able to dribble between my legs and do some other cool stuff.

I still can’t hit a 3-pointer, but I’m working on that! Issue is we have a very small amount of concrete at my house, so there’s no room for a goal. :/

I’m definitely not Professor Live, or T. Jass, but I’m getting better! ?
Similar boat here use to be really good at baseball, then my mom just forgot to sign me up after I reminded her multiple times. Wasn’t a money problem or anything she just forgot. After that she just didn’t want to sign me up so I started playing basketball with my friends after school, at first I was horrible but now being atleast 6inches to a foot taller than all my friends I kind of get all the rebounds and just block whoever’s shootings vision

I’m trying to increase my height here, do you think basketball really help? I have been told that your height determined by the genetics?

Sport and exercise have absolutely nothing to do with your height.

Your height is determined by genetics and your diet when young. If you have short parents, you will be short too. If you have a poor diet when young, or if your mum has a poor low quality diet when she is carrying you, then you won't grow as big as you can.

If your mum had a good diet while pregnant, and you eat a lot of good quality food during the first 15 years of life, then you should be taller than your parents. However, that doesn't mean you will be 7 foot tall, you should be a couple of inches taller than your parents, assuming they didn't get the best nutrition when they were young.

If your parents had good nutrition when young, and you get good nutrition when young, you will be similar height when adults.

I completely agree.

My dad is 5”10’ and I’m 5”11, but I’m only 15. I’ll definitely be getting a lot taller. (Thankfully)

Stepping on legos is the most painful thing to exist
I reckon double gees/ caltrops hurt more. They are prickles from an African plant and are designed to be carried around on the bottom of elephant and rhinoceros feet, which have 1 inch thick leather souls.

The common name of double gee is because you go ahhh gee wizz when you first step on them. Then you say it again when you try to grab them.

They are shaped like a pyramid and have a 3-4mm long spike sticking out each corner, so whichever way they land, a spike is always sticking up. When you step on one, it sticks in your foot and hurts. When you try to grab it, you get stabbed in the finger and thumb and more pain.

But stepping on Lego with bare feet is painful too.

How about a Stone Fish? Probably the same, if not more, painful.

Your height is based on a lot of things, like your genetics, but if your parents are short that does not mean you will be short, cause you may have tall grandparents, or the other way around.

I have never stepped on a LegoB-)
Thankfully no?. But my mom was really mad. I’m talking about getting hit with her flip flop map?
Edit: Mad, not map
Ha! That is really funny. My mom used to spank us when we were little. It was usually well deserved though
