I’m hoping to get over 6” by my 16th birthday. I’m glad I’m as tall as I am, but I, also glad I’m shorter or ridiculously tall.

There is this guy (dare I say friend) that goes to my homeschool group and occasionally works at my work, and he has to be at least 6”6’, and he’s only 14. It’s ridiculous how tall he is.

But, he says that being tall isn’t always that great. For one thing, people always mention it. He says usually the first thing people say to him, is “Wow, you’re super tall!”. He gets noticed for his height first.

Second thing is, tall people (including my friend) have back/leg pains, due to their height. There’s this other guy that goes to my work who is super tall, but he has to see a doctor every week because of his height.

At the Prom, my first dance was with this girl I sort of knew. But the first thing she said to me was, “Wow, you’re a lot taller than my last partner!”

I would say being short/moderately tall/super tall all have their advantages and disadvantages. :)
Ohhhhh. Yeah, an old friend of mine's little sister was so tall for her age. She would always come home from school and cry because she was so much taller than all her friends, she hated it. It would be frustrating for that to be the first thing people notice about you. That is so sad he has to go every week and that it causes him so much pain. I feel very short, especially when I stand next to my brother for family photos:lol: But I am almost as tall as my mom!

Now that you mention it, he does look down a ton. Maybe I should politely correct him next time I see him doing that.
Maybe he can't help it. When you're that tall, how do you look at ANYTHING without looking down

Well... I was predicted to be over 6” when I was like 5, because the doctors measured me and did some freaky calculations. My sister and brother on the other hand, are crazy short.

I’m already taller than my dad and mom.
Wow. Does it make it funny to talk to them, to have them shorter than you? My brother is the tallest person in our entire family, even like grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins.

I’m 6’0 and predicted to be 6’2 which I would enjoy because being taller than that just seems like a drag. They also said that about my brother he turned out to be 6’7 so I don’t really know how tall I’m going to be. I try to have a good posture but sometimes the weirdest positions to sit are the most comfortable.
Wow! My mom always has to correct my brother's posture, she is always like "sit up straight, you can't complain that your back hurts if you don't take care of yourself"

Super off topic, but why is TikTok SO obsessed with bettas? I've said this before in the Unpopular Opinions thread but I don't see the appeal in most bettas (unless they're particularly extravagant) and I don't see why the mainstream fishkeeping community is so fixated on them.

Not to mention the amount of betta-abuse you see on there.
TikTok is stupid and grotesque, I’m not surprised.

You see those “fish drinking” challenges, where people buy live fish and the swallow them whole so they can feel them alive in their stomach. It’s cruel and gross. ?

Once a guy did that (above), but he got a Cory, and it stuck its barbs in his throat - KARMA!!
I am not allowed to have TikTok (or any social media for that matter, except Facebook so we can advertise our rabbits, to get business when we have babies available) but I have cousins who have it and literally everything on there is just kinda.... pointless seeming, i suppose. It just seems like a complete waste of time to share ridiculous, and and often inappropriate or cruel, pointlessness to get "likes" and "views". I have never seen the appeal.

I don’t wish death on anyone, but I hope he was never able to speak or something. That would teach him.
That is awful  I hope that it hurt, and he learned his lesson and has more respect for nature and living things, but that he can still speak to tell others how stupid and foolish he was;)

My mom won’t even let me have Facebook. Beside that fact I don’t even want social media. My friends all say to get snapchat but I don’t see the point in getting it.

The only reason my mom lets me have Facebook is because my sister and I raise Purebred Holland Lops, from Pedigreed show lines, so we spent a lot lot lot of money purchasing our brood stock (the mom and dad rabbits) so that we can sell the babies for a good price, and when you are selling quality rabbits, it is not very professional to do it through Craigslist. Having a facebook page that is updated and posted on regularly makes your business look professional, and it provides better communication between us and our buyers. It was just kinda a necessity to have a good business, and my mom helps us manage it so it is safe. I agree though, I don't even want Snapchat or Instagram or TikTok. I see how much time my friends and cousins waste on it, and I know that when they are adults they will look back and see how stupid they were when they see all the foolish things they posted. My facebook page is purely business

That is a good point. ;)

Yes, it is funny, because now I'm taller than all my family, lol. They always try to size me up and I'm like:

To be honest, I do slouch from time to time, but only because no chair on earth has enough back support for me. (Except maybe them $300 PewDiePie chairs... )

Me to. I only have a small gaming YouTube channel, but I never upload new content. I find social media stupid as well, and lots of people get hurt from it/them.

Being short is an advantage in hide and seek.

I deleted my facebook account about two years ago and I don't miss it a bit. It creeped me out how deliberately addictive and invasive it is. Never did any of the others. This forum, a primitive archery forum, and email are the only social media I even attempt to keep up with. I have a youtube channel where I occasionally share music and aquarium vids. I very much prefer face-to-face interactions and/or paper letters.

Yeah that’s understandable.

Ha! When my brother hugs my mom, he almost knocks her over!
We measured my brother against my grandpa and my brother was taller, and we were going to try to measure my brother against my uncle, but he was soooo unwilling to let them compare their heights, he didn't want to lose his status as "tallest person in the family" but we all know my brother is taller

So you NEVER have a comfortable chair? That must be awful. I never actually sit back in a chair...

very true!
Yes it is, when I was like 6 my brother had a birthday party at our house and we played hide and seek with my cousins. I hid for 3 hours straight in the basement while playing minecraft:rofl:
That is hilarious! I love Minecraft

Minecraft made up my childhood, and it is still a great game.

It is a really great game. My sisters and I still play it all the time! My older brother even plays with us sometimes. I think the majority of what I do is just tame a ton of animals, so I have dozens of dogs, cats, horses, and even rabbits. Then the game lags and my siblings make me kill them all

It’s kind of phasing out and being replaced by games like Fortnight and Halo.

Well, all the upper management people at my work have these super comfortable gaming chairs, and they have awesome back support. But the chairs we have to use for sorting candy/Legos are incredibly uncomfortable.

(I was exaggerating when I said I “never sat in a comfortable chair”. ;))

Yes it is phasing out:(
But... it is still fun to play

I play PE, and yes, it is very fun.

Here are some of the things I have made, on my “Worlds longest rollercoaster” world. (Technically not the worlds longest, yet...)

I think the total ride time is 30 minutes, which is crazy if you think about it.

It’s an insane world.
