Hi all,ok.............. id like a little help please
!st i have a toadstool i bought (pic below) and ive noticed it hasnt produced its polyps out since i got it home and i think the reason is  that i saw maybe four little hitchikers on it but am unsure what they are. They a very small round and flat litte purple things that seem to crawl across it always.I have flicked a couple off with a chopstick without offending the toadstool. Can anyone give me a clue what they are??? there to small to photograph.

Toadstools are like ' sulky school boys'so i shouldn't worry about it :good: flat, purple, small and round.......... mmmm, there are a couple of things that came to mind, flat worms, but not usually purple and stomatellas - they are often different colours, google them and see what you think.

The thing that squirts out water - guess what, a sea squirt  unfortunantly not the easiest things to keep.

The orange coral, could be a number of things - is it hard or soft?

HaHa Seffie very funny lol sea squirt
And ive just googled flatworm and it almost does look like one of them. Are the marine friendly or a pest? if a pest what eats them lol Oh and thanks xx

Oh yes indeed, they are pests

Well, its a bit hit and miss for a natural pred. but some say mandarins and wrasses, worth a try if you were going to get one of these fish anyway. But if you are going the mandy route take a look at the fish of the week topic :good:

Fresh water dips also work

Hi all,ok just a quicky lol.Can i use ocean rock to frag my corals onto? or must it be live rock? I know you can buy the plugs/discs but we have around 25kg of ocean rock spare so wanted to utilize it thanks.

OF :good:

ocean rock would be fine for frags. Just bash it up into little pieces.

goniapora will also like it if you dose some phyto every now and then :good:

Hi old fisher

Flat worms are a pain in the back side as they mutiply over time the best way to get rid of them are blue velvet nudibrances as they eat them do not use anytreatment to kill them off as the will toxic your tank so nudibrances are the bestway and also a 6 line wrsasse eats them but best bet on the nudibrances once there gone take the nudibrance back to the lfs as they can wipelout your tank if they die

regards scott

Hey all,ok i rescaped my right hand side of the tank today as i bought some more live rock.
