Decided to put some rocks on the left hand side of the tank today. Reason being is that the sands depth keeps getting thinner at the front of the tank because of the way the water flows.
Also added 12 small Kuhli Loaches as the rocks make perfect cover for them to hide in and they will keep any mess from settling for too long between the rocks.
Took the Amazon Sword from my 90 litre and planted it in here, surrounded it with pebbles so it doesnt get uprooted, hoping that will now take root and go bananas as its now growing in its fully submersed form with 7/8 leaves. Hacked off about 2 foot from the vallis grass too!
Yeah they are doing a lot better since i hacked them back a split them appart!
My Kribs have been giving the Kuhli's odd looks They are not worms! £20 for 12 of them wasnt a bad price i thought, expensive fish food though, hope they realise they are not food
Todays plant purchase include an Echinodorus Africanus a Limnophila and 50 Sagittaria subulata!
Sagittaria should be here tomorrow while the others i can plant tonight, also blagged a freebie golf ball size lump of weeping moss to put on some wood in my nano.
Not quite sure where to put the Limnophila at the moment, i know it grows nutty like cabomba
Ended up ripping a few of the plants out that were not doing so well, dumped them into my 90 litre. Kribs have been eating the new leaves on the Sword, annoying gits! Going to fish them all out at the weekend and get rid down the lfs!
