My New Seashell 60X18X24 Wdh

I'll be following your dry ferts progress with interest.

I've recently swapped from TPN to TNC. It's considerably cheaper but dry ferts are even more so.

Yeah without doubt, if you think about it, i got 1500grams of powders, 12 teaspoons create 1 litre of ferts, thats going to last me for two weeks per mix, for you, it would be one three weeks. ( I think im only 100 litres more than you)

There is probably enough there to last me, at a random guess, 9 months before i have to top any of them up. So yeah, hopefully the plants react well to it. No reason why they shouldnt really....!

how accurate is the measuring? In my mind you need lab quality scales to measure the right amounts, or is it more liberal than that? You mention 'teaspoons', is that as accurate as it needs to be?

Teaspoon is good enough in my eyes :) Im not making explosives :D

The measurements do not have to be exact as with the EI method we are effectively overdosing anyway, that is the whole point, to make sure the plants do not go without.

Hense we can have a day with no dosing (rest day).

I'm rather well stocked now to be honest :) Need to offload some Kribensis and fill in a few gaps with some more plants. Waiting for payday next week and i'll get them knocked on the head. Ordered 5 meters of filter wool today too so i can swap out the pads i have in there at the moment for some new material. Been using them for 3+ months now :D £8 for 5 meters of the stuff which i should be able to make 40+ pads or £6 for 2 tetratec pads... should help keep the water spotless anyway!

nice you can get rolls of filter wool at my LFS i got 1mts fo £1.50 used it in my river reef, i was thinkg of adding a internal filter just with filter wool innit.....

Was that Bellend i spotted stuck to the front glass on the video :)

2 of the official Tetratec polishing pads cost about £6.

This cost me roughly the same and should sort me out for the next two years, even if i change them for fresh every 2 weeks :D

Latest edition to the tank:

6 x Corys listed as Schwartzi's for £20

Spotted these on eBay at £30 each tonight from Rare Aquatics. Although i doubt they are the same, but they do look more like them than the standard £4 Schwrtzi's. bleh.

Pondering getting another 6 at the weekend :D
