And trigonopoma photos from quarantine. They're fattening up, and I managed to get a side by side photo showing both species

Another tidy of the Paraguay, sold another bag of stargrass trimmings. Now not gonna be trimming until late may since I've got someone wanting a big bag of them when I take the train up to Toronto. Shall be looking at a jungle until that time lol

^ I can't get over his ridiculous fins

Juvenile hoplisoma paleatum are about selling size. I'll be listing some locally while holding on to a couple until May to bring up with me to Toronto with the plant trimmings.

There seems to be a pocket of riccia taking hold in my Asian tank, I had a little bit that I thought vanished. Always a pleasant surprise

Baby honey gourami are still going well, no losses and they're growing.

I'm struggling plant wise with this 55. Lots of stem plants just don't want to thrive in it and heck if I can figure it out. The pennywort even has gotten funky so I've just floated it for now. Maybe I'll move it elsewhere, I dunno. For now its a floating mass 🤣
I did get some "fake rocks" from someone, they have holes and are little caves. I have them facing with the hole away from view so they look more realistic. The microglanis catfish really liked them during their quarantine, so keeping them for them now they're in the big tank. They sleep in them, I'll see them come out sometimes at dinner time.

And glad to say, these guys have made it to 2 weeks in quarantine without showing any symptoms of disease or issues, so they shall be joining my Asian tank over the weekend. The gourami are included in this, they're just not photo'd today lol
Love these guys

Probably looking like they wanna spawn again, of course as they're clear to move to the permanent tank 🙄

My child decided to name them, Stark (male) and Frieren (female) after characters from an anime he's been watching lately.

I found my macro lens. Here are some shots of the baby gouramis

Trigonopoma are weird little fish. Don't behave like a rasbora, instead a bit more pencil-like

I'm not sure your sarawaks are sparring, looks more like spawning to me ;)
I considered it, but they seemed more to be snapping at one another instead of the usual spawning side-by-side "cuddling"

The tannins actually darkened up more, i find that happens a lot with rooibos tea.

Stark the honey gourami is a bit of a turd. I think he may have another nest he's guarding, because he's chasing his tankmates 🤣 but what's amusing is he made a tunnel in the moss and he waits in it before coming out to chase anyone who swims by it. When he's really moody he gets a full black forehead.
