Maybe a bit creepy!

congrats on making that change brother! that’s a huge step. as a recovering nicotine addict myself i can safely say its not easy at all.

i was easily hitting my vape over 250 times a day for about 2 years straight, i was heavily addicted and thought i could never quit. but with my gfs constant support and pure dedication, i can happily say its been over 100 days since ive had any nicotine and ive been feeling better than ever.

i got pleurisy (which is an infection in the lungs for those who dont know) and its very painful but it’s a constant reminder to never touch that stuff again.

it does get better! keep at it man :)
Congrats bro. People get seriously messed up by those things.

i know better than anyone that’s more than true, and it’s sad because there’s even middle schoolers doing it. the big vape companies know exactly what they’re doing with their marketing scenes, and designing flavors that taste like candy and sodas so kids will be more enticed by them. it’s a disgusting thing like the more i look back the more i am so glad i quit.

And they market it as a safe way to wean off of cigarettes. In reality, the two biggest producers of vape products are owned by the two largest cigarette producers.

exactly, people make excuses for vaping like “at least it’s not cigs” or “it’s safer than cigs” which it’s really not. i make that excuse for a long time that at least i wasn’t smoking cigs, but i was putting hundreds if not thousands of unknown chemicals into my lungs, including heavy metals, and my cardio will probably be messed up for a long time if not forever because of it.

At least you quit. Most people don't have what it takes.

Congratulations to you for giving up while you’re still young, and for having such a wonderful person to help you through it.

Tbh, I’ve always known I should quit, but it was never because I wanted to, always because I thought I should. You can’t do it like that, at least I couldn’t.
I’ve actually been scared into it by excruciating chest, back and kidney-area pains, every day or two for the last few weeks, that lasted all night. It was diagnosed as “errmmm.... probably acid reflux” but I know it’s not that. The meds didn’t help, neither did giving up the caffeine and fatty foods, so I realised the enormous elephant in the room had to go. I’m doing it this time because I want / have to, and it’s easy, so far. :)

This is a picture of a so-called intelligent human after an estimated 300,000 cigarettes and 20kg of caffeine (that’s caffeine, not coffee).

Taken a week after reducing my caffeine intake from 20+ cups a day to 3, and two days after reducing the cigarettes from 20+ to 3. I feel healthier already.

As you can plainly see, these excesses have had zero effect and I’m still as easy on the eye as JuiceBox.

I've heard kicking the nicotine habit is brutal. Keep up the fight. And yeah, just between us guys, you're one handsome son of a gun.

it is absolutely brutal, easily the hardest thing i’ve ever done. some people (including one of my coworkers who used to do hardcore drugs) say nic is harder to drop than cocaine or meth or other stuff. it’s so brutal

Hang in there.
and you’d make a great politician. ;)
Yeah, until I actually slipped up and said what I thought. I'd probably make it about half an hour.

Figured I’d update my “what do ya look like” answer.
Upgraded to my halo vest today. It’s definitely uncomfortable but brings so much more relief to my head and neck.

Lovely as always. Do keep that head firmly attached to your shoulders. You're going to need that later.

As for me, I just got a haircut, and am looking rather dapper, if I may say so. No need to post a new pic, though. Take my profile pic, remove the bow and the hat, put me in a comfy chair with a cup of tea, and add shorter hair. There you go.
