Hi just wanted to ask other ppls views of wether manners are to be expected on the forum ?
It may just be me but some ppl are down right rude
thanx for reading my rant lol
regards scot :good:

Simple answer, Yes.

Manners are not a hard thing to learn or to use but many people seem to have never learned this skill and therefore do not realise that they will often get better results with them.

There is absolutely no need to be rude.

(and that wasn't a rant - it was far too polite :p)

I agree with this completely. Some members can be downright rude especially when it comes to dealing with new members. Is it some sort of hazing ritual?

Sometimes it's not easy to convey what you mean by typing in words. You may mean one thing, but a reader may take it as something else.

e.g. "Fruit flies like a bannana."

Can be read two ways.. which one did I mean?

thats what i hate about cyber space

But then on the other hand, if you are aware you can been taken in more ways than one, then you should try and word what you are saying in a way that can only be taken in the correct way.

not always easy to do though :/

And then there are those that don't really care which way their words are taken...

I couldn't agree more! things are so easy to take the wrong way on the tinterweb... i think forums are bound to come across these issues regardless of how nice people are trying to be!

And as they say "there's always one!"
