Managing Games

TFF Tournament Fixtures (Friday 20th):

Toulouse Vs Estudiantes
Feyenoord Vs Dinamo Zagreb

I'll draw up a table and post it up here if we organize some type of fixture list for the tournament. Just a reminder these games don't cost your players condition loss or injuries. You can play players that have red cards in the league also or players that are already injured.

We can do a tournament for throughout the league to try out new formations etc. and then arrange another pre-season tournament at the end of this season.

Toulouse

I'd lose a few attackers to lower your wage bill and bring in one quality attacker for two poor ones by swapping with an unaviable club.

For example two attackers who won't feature in your plans for Jose Sand who is 90 and may increase his rating this year. Just offer the cash difference for what your two attackers are worth to his club.
I know a good goalkeeper is hard to come by right now as i struggled but managed to get 2 decent ones (90 + 89) when i joined up but i think you need to try and get one no lower than 89.

Theres not much i could suggest with your MF and DF as you don't have many, maybe try and swap a couple more attack for a good defender or midfielder with the unavailable clubs.
Thanks> I've already got various defenders/DMids on radar, and my policy is also to aim at 90+Rat. and aged <25.
I've just signed A.KONE from Sevilla and sold F.Santos and hoping he''ll bag a few.....MIDO is also listed.
I want to give the fans plenty of attacking play and this is reflected in my amount of forwards, but I will be focussing on the back spine from now on.
>Have a friendly later with Estuidantes; with some debutant's getting a run-out in a new formation.
Yep seems like a good plan, i've tried to sign under 25's as well where i can. I'll post up prize money at the end of the season so we have an idea how much we have
next season

Here for league prize money

You also get somewhere between 5 - 10 million injected from the chairman and about 1-3million cup money

Seems like a good start of a TFF Tourno....I've also got a Friendly Vs. Dortmund already arranged for the 27th June (I think it's around then)Edit done.

Those were the only dates I could arrange for, so it make take a while to play each member...?

+ It will be a good way to play fringe/new players and to try a variety of formations. :good:

Only a month and a week out!! Next Friday then... should be interesting match

I thought I would help organise the first TFF Championship (unless somebody else can think of a better name?) I guess with 6 teams we will have to have a League, rather than a knock out cup. So These will be the entrants:

Shrimper - Dinamo Zagreb - Z
Sf05 - Feyenoord - F
andywatson29 - Borussia Dortmund - D
rossyt99 - Toulouse - T
simonas - Estudiantes -E
Bigpig - Spartak Moskva - S

As we probably only have time to play each other once I've made this quick chart to show which games we need to play. To try and make it fair you should try and have no more than 3 home games. 0's are confirmed games, X's are unconfirmed.

#-Z-F-D-T-E-S
Z-#-0-X-X-X-X
F-#-#-X-X-X-X
D-#-#-#-0-X-X
T-#-#-#-#-0-X
E-#-#-#-#-#-X
S-#-#-#-#-#-#

Games already Confirmed:
20th June
Feyenoord vs Zargreb
Toulouse Vs Estudiantes
27th June
Toulouse Vs Borussia Dortmund

I have invited Toulouse for a friendly on the 4th of July and Spartak Moskva for the 27th June. It won't let you arrange fixtures more than 2 weeks in the future so i'll have to wait to play Estudiantes and Dortmund. To arrange a friendly you need to use the Setup drop down menu and choose the friendlies option about half way down the menu.

Feyenoord Done For Season

Feyenoord manager Dan Walmsley today confirmed that the club would be doing no more transfer dealings this season after a massive 23 players left the club since his arrival. 17 quality signings have been made to compensate those players leaving and this means that there is only one remaining survivor from the original squad, that man being R Makaay a player that the manager has made no secret of his intent to offload at the end of the season also.

Dan said 'I doubt very much that R Wolf and R Makaay will be with us for next season as they don't feature for my plans for the future. Portsmouth are interested in Roy and we will discuss this with them when the season is over, i have already drawn up my shortlist of 8 players i want to sign for the club for our next campaign which will hopefully be in division 3. But for now we don't have a penny to spend and with only 18 players in the squad 17 of who have a transfer ban it is almost impossible to sign anyone even if i wanted to, if an emergency arrise then no doubt i will look to loan a player but for now we stay as we are.'

In other news Feyenoord play Dinamo tonight in a friendly game which will contribute to the TFF Championship

I think the TFF Championship will diffenitley by hard to arrange around the season like you've said shrimper

I suppose we'll just have to do the best we can and i'll ask for a team to play against on the other date you have arrange one for.

It will be easier to arrange when the season finished because you 2-3 weeks to play friendlies so we could then do like a mini-league where we all play home and away

Estuidantes have been surprising quiet in the transfer market consdering there is so much work to be done.... :shifty: any comments?

you should have a message in your club messages saying 'X have challenged you to a friendly on the XXth of the June.' Then there will be a respond in blue writing which you click on and reject or accept.

I don't think there is a score centre on friendlies though guys just a match report

Fixtures for the 27th June (TFF Championship)

Toulose Vs Dortmund
Dinamo Vs Spartak
Feyenoord Vs Estudiantes

Shall we just count this as the first game of the championship rather than tonights games? As we are all playing on the same night and could do for the next couple of weeks it would make it easier to arrange. We could do a home and away fixture which would let the tournament run until the end of the season and into pre-season. Let me know what you think but i'd say lets just use tonights 2 games as a way of trying out new signings tactics etc and use next friday as the beggining and draw up a fixture list?

BREAKING NEWS

Borussia Dortmund have had a offer for David Beckham Accepted by Manchester City, the transfer is like to be completed very soon.

The English Influx Continues at Zargreb

The Influx of English players at Dinamo Zargreb has continued today with the signing of 89 Rated Goalkeeper Chris Kirkland. Chris will be playing in tonights Friendly against Feyenoord and hopes to play in the League game vs Portsmouth at the weekend.

This weeks other signing although not English, is probably best known for his time in England playing for Aston Villa. Columbian Forward Juan Pablo Angel has joined Zagreb as backup for the first choice strikers. He is hoping his skills and experience will help him to challenge for a place in the starting line up. Manager Andrew McLeod has promised the fans even more quality signings in his bid to move up the league.

FRIENDLY RESULT;

TOULOUSE 4- 1 Estudiantes. (at Stadium Minicipal, Att; 26,472)

A good run-out for some of the squad players alongside first-teamers ended in a rather comfortable win for the French side.
Early goals from Paulo CESAR and MIDO put the home side in control and M.BADELL brought Estudaintes back in to it with a good finish.
The 58% possession told in the final stages as young French prospects G.GIGNAC and then N.TAIDER made it 4-1 in a well-supported friendly.

A.KONE got a rating of 9 on his debut, with MIDO and M.O.M N.TAIDER getting a 10 out of 10 for their performances.
>>Toulouse will hope this has boosted morale ahead of the next League game with America of Mexico on Saturday.

BREAKING NEWS

Borussia Dortmund have had a offer for David Beckham Accepted by Manchester City, the transfer is like to be completed very soon.

Shirt-Printers in Dortmund are said to be on over-drive and working through the night to meet the expected demand...
It is anticipated that the merchandising will offset the transfer fee within weeks.

Feyenoord 4 - 1 Dinamo Zagreb

Feyenoord lived up to their TFF Championship favourite title tonight and delivered a 4 - 1 thumping to Dinamo Zagreb at De Kuip in front of more than 31 000 fans.

Again, a statistic which is becoming a tradition in the Dutch sides fortunes - Less shots on goal but this time they did manage more possesion... a marginal 51%. An unlikely double from Johnathen Woodgate cemented the win. R Makaay and D Bilyaletdinov added the other 2 goals.

Dinamo did take the league early on with D Andersson putting them infront but just 4 minutes later it was level largley thanks to a wicked deflection off a Makaay shot. The ageing former dutch international will ponder how he was creditied the goal but expect no appeal to the World Club Association from the attacker to take the goal off him. From then on there was going to be only one winner and Feyenoord take the bragging rights this game.

Post Match Conference

Dan an easy win on the report, do you still feel a little uncomfortable with the fact that your team is still struggling to compose themselves in games?

I've said before that performances don't win titles, points do. It doesn't matter if you score a crazy goal like Makaay's today or a beauty like woodgate's first they all count, they all win games. The performances will come no doubt about that but for now i will take the win no matter what, Chelsea made two successful seasons out of it so why can't we this season our record is still intact we are unbeaten in 12 games including the 2 friendly victories

You've confirmed the club will not be conducting itself in the transfer market again this term, what do you make of the signings other clubs in your league have revealed today?

Dinamo have signed an exciting young prospect in Icelandic international Gunnarson, no doubt he is nowhere near a good starting 11 just yet but he is one for the future for sure, the second signing Kirkland will have a debut to forgot considering he conceded 4 goals but is still a class goalkeeper who can play a big part in rebuilding that spartak team and helping them push for promotion next season. Of Course the signing in Srna is one of the best signings they have made this season along with ahsley young. I am very much a fan of this players and i wish him luck at his new club.

Dortmund will be breathing a sigh of relief following the capture of 2 very good centre midfielders to strenthen their squad fernando and ledesma are players that can win games and that is what the german side are in need of right now. L A Galaxy aren't the best side but it is still a good win to get there season off to a start under the new manager, don't forget we just scraped a point agaisnt Galaxy the game before i took over the club....

News Just in that Dortmund have confirmed the acceptance of a £20 million bid for david beckham, any thoughts?

David Beckham at £8 million pound or under is a very good signing, david beckham anything above those figures is overpriced in my opinion. £20 million for 33 year old is significantly over the odds in my books. Looking at the fact that Man City have just signed Krancjar for that price tells me that 20 million is not good business for the club no matter how desperate they need a good RM.

I think David Bentley is a young improving player who wil be available soon is a better option and i think he will be available for the same price when his transfer ban is up, i will try and speak to andy watson and let him know what i think. But andy is very much his own man, he is the manager and that's the way it is i will just offer my opinion that's all i can do
