Luc's First Planted Tank

Thank you cheesy feet... :)

After removed the 2 flying foxes, the tank is more peaceful as flying fox could be a bit agressive towards others fishes... :)

Now I am waiting for the plants to grow especially the mosses... :)

It has been few days never log in to this forum, my internet connection is having problem and will take few days to be able to use again. I log in by using my friend's pc...

After removed the flying foxes, mosses are growing well... :)

Plants are growing well and things are getting alright... :)

I have added in 2 penguin tetra and a rummy nose tetra last night. They are just too cute. :)

Pics will be posted once the internet connect is up... Take care guys.

p/s: Forgot to mention about a new incomer, a bee snail in my tank too... she just looks gorgeous and small in size... :)

Fish police is going to be at it again! :hyper: Just remember tetras need to be in schools of at least 5, more, though is always better. And most species will not school together in one big group. They school with their own species. You have several tetras species that need to be upped. Naughty, naughty. :big_boss:

Sorry, but I still ultimately keep fish. Been doing it since I was twelve.

Hey guys, have been a month I never log in to internet, just got my connection back and hope will continue talking nonsense here... :)

The tank is matured and plants are growing very well. My neighbour has sold me his 4-feet tank and the accessaries recently, busy setting it up and I have shifted some plants from the 2-feet tank to the new tank.

Red cherry shrimps are growing well and getting more and more in the nano tank and 2-feet tank too... :)

Will post some updated pic soon and hope you guys will continue to support me and give me some good suggestions too. :)

Now is time to check out what have you guys' tank turning into... hope to see some nice tanks... :)

Welcome back. Glad things are going so well. Look forward to seeing new pictures. What are your plans for the new tank?

And now wer going to!

Soo excited good luck Luc and also welcome back :)

You've been missed!

Haaa... thank you guys for all the nice nice words... :)

The internet connection is giving me problems recently and just got connected again after few days down AGAIN.

Hopefully no problem after all these trouble...

I have shifted nearly half of the plants in the 2-feet tank into the 4-feet tank and redo the front part of the 2-feet tank. I am still planning to do some changes in the middle part of the 2-feet tank, see it goes and hopefully soon can post some updated pics as promised...

The 4-feet tank is running well, fishes are in and no sign of casualty. Plants are in too and growing. Water is clear. So far things are alright, kind of blessing to a beginner like me. :)

I really have no idea yet on how to scape my 4-feet tank... I have put in a huge drift wood, a moderate size of rock with java moss (will add in more rocks). I just simply plant the plants everywhere in helping to stablelise the water while thinking of how to scape it... I will take a pic of it and share with you guys and hopefully can get some idea from the experts out there... :)

Thank you John... :)

Hey guys, as promised, I have taken some pics for my tank and hopefully you will like it... :)

Picture below is showing the front view of the tank, as I said I have just redone the front part. :)

The "dried river" effect I am trying to do is slowly covered up by the moss... Will need some trimming guess...

The moss wall is slowly forming, the moss at the lower part which is receiving more lighting is growing well; but the upper part is not growing out much as lighting is not penetrated there much... :)

The fishes are happy in there, and the red cherry shrimps are thrilling in there (they are breeding a lot). :)

I will open up a new thread for my 4-feet tank soon... :)

See my post for your 4ft, I suggested a thing or two.

The growth in this tank is very nice. The moss is doing particularly well. I like it. It creates a very dark spot in your photos, but I'm sure that's not how it looks in real life. It's softened the slope quite a bit and looks good.
