It is so weird how they get on now. I admit when I tried rainbow with Bailey & Tigger and Bailey went for rainbow so bad I was worried where to put him. Whether is because they went into the tank together so soon that they now get on or what I just dont know. All I do know is Duce made me out a fibber saying he was a calm fish

Walkers, there are a few JD's on ac, a guy nearish me has a pair (un bred yet) wanting to swap for other fish.


Great news on the Humbug, sounds like it was just stressed then

ive had to remove the jaguar catfish that is saved for Ryan as it has been scrapping with the other, both have small damage but ive had to put it in with the humbug and pike so lets hope it gets along with the humbug as i dont want it stressed any more ive since read up that jaguar catfish get very teritorial with each other but are very peacefull to everything else... good job i didnt go for a third like i 1st planned

ive seen the advert on AQ for the pair chris. maybe he will trade for some discus

i think they would have been ok but they both wanted the same cave. even after i rearranged it a bit they still both went for the same cave you can hear them kind of buzzing at each other must be argueing so i lifted the wood out and they were fighting. i was only holding it until Ryans tank gets sorted so not the end of the world.
if it starts on the humbug the only other tank i have running is the tank thats got Ryans other fish in. it should be ok in there until he can collect them i would have thought. ill be moving the EBJD though just to be safe

hes fine mate much more confident today. there are very few places to hide in the QT tank so hes a little skittish but not getting bothered by the 2 cats. ill try and find some more plants etc for him

i was tempted when in the shop but after doing a little more research i dont think its a great idea as they can get very nasty towards each other when adult

i know i used to keep them
it used to do my head in
they used to spawn then one
would kill the other normally
the female would kill the male
by biting big chunks out of him

its also got a tear in its pectoral fin. it must be from the jag

That could be whats causing the stress slime again (plus my waffle in the pm ) If you get stuck I do have a little 30" x 12 x 15 tank empty, I can find a heater and mature filter (internal) you could borrow if you need to untill Ryan is sorted

thanks star thats a very kind offer but im sure it wont be long before its a loner in the tank and stress free again.....

fish are so weird!

my other jag cat and humbug have been sharing a small cave for the last few days without any issues and the 2 humbugs were together in the lfs without any problems but the newer jag just doesnt like other jags or humbugs brings back memories of duce and rainbow ah well im sure it will be fine soon
