Yes rich v pleased mate, i've got some bulbs of my own growing but in low tech so it takes ages to get as far as your had come on, its sitting in front of your hygrophila too

Funnily enough when I bought this tank it was covered in hygrophila corym. From top to bottom, back to front, it looked mental.. I binned it all LOL idiot

its always the same when i 1st got my tank i had loads of giant vallis and amazon swords and i went off them n threw it all out but now its all bk (a bit more organised now tho lol),

what lighting r u using by the way u got great colour in there

Lol, i literally bagged them up and everything but when I got home I was like I cant be bothered and just chucked them. I dont know if anyone has noticed the smell of hygrophila, i find it really distinctive??

I actually run my pics through the photoshop app to increase the colour - but only because the iphone cam tends to wash out the colours i find. My bulbs are two t8s, the front being a cool white and the back is a pink hue which I think really works well, especially if you look at the surface lotus leaves with the pink bulb setting them off nicely

Great pic.
Still amazes me how beatiful and healthy this tank looks.
I love hight tech planted tanks but they are such a hassle.
This tank surpasses many of the high techs i've seen. Its beatiful in its simplicity and how natural it looks.
I'm gonna get a new tank for my wife as a present, and we will do a low tech for her, i showed her this tank and she loved it.
Its an inspiration and since i'm gonna inherit her smaller 75 liter tank i might give it a try for something simpler.
Well done mate. Keep posting update's so far its very enjoying and its been more than a year i've been following this tank.

Not much going on to be honest Rich, I might do a vid as haven't done one in a while, everything looking good but my corymbosa doesnt seem to want to grow!

I nearly went for a 2 foot high tech recently, but I seriously don't know whether I can be bothered to! Low tech is easy but slooow, Also the more you do low tech the more knowledge you gain of low tech plants and what they like and need.. It's worth a go, its hard to get wrong!!

lovely looking tank. i tried tiger barbs once and they were mega hyper, could watch them for hours. do you have any problems with aggression?

Mine seem quite docile, i don't know everyone seems to say they are mental, but im yet to see it, they get a bit hyper when theres food but thats pretty normal, but I dont have much else in the tank which could be a reason, just looking over at them now and they are all just gently swimming
