Kkaannee's Juwel Rio 300 - Upgrade

the good thing about tabs is that they do slowly leach into the water column as well as add to the root if needed. The TNC plugs are good value for money. They do the job as well. :good:

I may give them a go, does the membrane stay intact do you know? The API ones have been good to me but run out pretty fast as they dilute quickly, it doesnt bother me but I wonder how slowly the tnc's leach if they are meant to release for 6 months?

Really nice tank mate, I like it alot!!

Jay

Thanks Jay :)

the TNC ones are modeled on the Tropica caps. They last at least 6 months, depends on temp and water hardness etc etc. Like you say, you don't want to upset the balance to much.

Cheers

I think i'll do one more course of the APIs and then switch, my plants are doing well at the min so am gonna stick with it for a little while longer although I do fancy a change at some point

any update on the tank? looking at yours its persuading me to try vallis again. it looks great in your tank. Love the open feel about it.

Well the stargrass that I planted on the left gave up on me (not enougb light as its doing great in my 20l) but I got an absolute beast of a lotus from richpowell which has taken its place, the leaves need to grow a bit more for the effect but its got promise as theres about 20 leaves on it, with 4 or 5 reaching the surface

Anubias has shot two big new leaves out in the past weeks

The female krib has started the digging procedure again after the pleco (been moved to the 20l for a week) ate her eggs last time, hoping to get at least free swimmers this time around

Will post pics when I can

Worry you not, young Padawan
Now i'm growing it with Easycarbo, so we can disprove that myth

Is that in the Vallis tank? You cease to amaze. Co2 doesn't affect hardness does it though, just ph?

looks great glad ur happy wit the lotus :)

Yes rich v pleased mate, i've got some bulbs of my own growing but in low tech so it takes ages to get as far as your had come on, its sitting in front of your hygrophila too :good:
