Water changes about every 2 days. I keep notice of their activities. Only one of the black moors lays on the gravel now. The rest swim and float around.

Will get my water tested again at the store. ALSO will buy a water testing kit to double check that.

The fish sorta just lays there, not moving. When I first saw it I was shocked and thought it had died.

I wouldn't worry, we have a very old fancy goldfish (age 10) still downstairs, unfortunateley all the others have died and he's alone :(
But most of the day he sort of lays there on the gravel as though sitting down, he's done it for years and nothing is wrong with him.
They can get BIG, if you want a reasonable size tank go on ebay, you could find a good deal :good:

Oh at least I know they're okay and not suffering or in pain or anything. :)

I know, I'm after a bigger tank but it's hard to find places in the area that have new tanks. I don't really trust ebay much. Kinda hard to find NEW untouched tanks. They all sell used tanks which i wouldn't prefer because any fish could've been it in it.

It's very easy to sterilize second hand tanks; just use salt to scrub it and then rinse very well. The bigger tank is really neccessary for your fish :good:

on eBay people are known to contaminate by pouring petrol or diesel or other harmful liquids before they sell them.

5 of my 6 tanks are second hand and I've never had a problem...don't you think you're being a little bit paranoid?

I can see no reason why anyone would pour petrol or diesel over a fish tank they wanted to sell; the smell would easily give it away and the buyer would refuse to buy it as it wouldn't be 'fit for purpose' or 'as advertised'.

If you don't want to buy second hand because you don't like it (I can understand that) then that's fine; but your fish need a bigger tank, ASAP; you'll either have to shell out the money for new, bite the bullet and buy second hand, or the fish will eventually get sick and die; there's no nice way of putting it.

You really have only two options; either get a tank suitable for the goldies and keep them in it, or re-home the goldies and get some fish that are suitable for the tank you have.
