Jack's Marine Adventure!

Yeah you are a knowledgeable member of this forum - I am sure a few people here have noted your absence lately!

I suspect you are going through a phase of rejection and will soon miss the fish :) Maybe get back into tropical for a while?

Incidentally my grandfather was heavily into model railways, although n was too small for him so he chose '00' gauge. He built a layout around the upstairs landing and had it featured in modelers railway mag! I will try to link a scan if I get a chance!

My mum still has it all in storage - along with a hornby live steam Stevenson's Rocket + 2 coachs and a couple of his original electric loco's and track from the 1930's (well played with lol). To top it off I have a huuuge Meccano set that he collected dating back to the early 20's when he was a young boy. Promised myself I will try to make that huge crane someday - but then I saw the 'instructions' !

You learn on the Trains you are going to drive and over the routes you are going to cover. Simulators aren't really used that much. I teach Class 357 traction unit, which are passenger trains :good:

Way to go norbert B-)
i like the 357's. i was on an arriva cross country 170 yesterday up to birmingham (i think its the same chassis and everything as the 357, but the 357 runs with pantographs and diesel, and the 170 on diesel.

agree with everything Trod said, we don't want to lose you Truck

And - Trod is a very rare breed indeed - a female train driver instructor
