dont know either. sorry. do you have any fish in your tank yet?

Yup, most likely ricordea there. Shrimp/crabs commonly moult after shipping. Nobody has really proved they do it, but it is very common :good:.

Coraline algae will consume both calcium and alkalinity, as will all corals. Its best to keep both high for a tank healthy with corals. As you add more corals and other calcifying organisms, your demands for calcium and alkalinity will go up. Before you start adding lots of corals I'd read up on some chemistry and how things work in there. I linked a few on page two of the realm of konwledge sticky here :good:

i might not be right but your goby doesnt look like a watchman. do you know specifically what kind it is? i thought it looks like a citron goby but it has blue spots instead of lines, am i right?

That is 100% a yellow watchman goby, the citrinis goby has a broader body shape and it quite different. They are one of my favourite fish, they are full of personality :good:

we just got a bluespotted watchman, or so we were told but figured out that it was a wheelers instead, which i think is better because it wont grow as big. we also got a tiger pistol shrimp for him here at $30 but he was worth it. he has maybe like a condo for him and the watchman. hes like a minnie bulldozer when he carries the sand on his claws. havent heard him crack his claw yet though. i definitely recommend the tiger pistol . :good:
do yellow watchmans have blue lines on its face though, because most that i have seen dont. but everyone can be wrong

It hasn't got blue lines on its face? It has blue spots from I can see, like all yellow watchmans

Citrinis gobies have blue lines on their face, but their body structure is very different from a watchman goby, and they are not very bright yellow, more yellowy brown. I have owned both yellow watchmans and citrinis gobies and they are quite different.

Right a couple of new additions today got myself a brain coral and 5 yellow tail damsels. Here are a few pics what do you think of the brain corals location do you think i should move it on the substrate it is already on a frag. Also my Ricodea is it ok like that there is 5 polyps on this one rock if I moved it near to the rock would it move out on to that???

Hi,
looking good. I myself wouldn't have gone for the damsels. They are nice looking but adding them now means they will become territorial to new added fish. I had 3 and they were right b*stards. I have finally managed to get rid of them all now. They are good algae eaters but are mean to the other fish. Especially, chromis.
Thanks,
Lm
