Its Alive

Well I just thought I'd update alittle. And give myself the old complaint sandwhich.

Lately I have been noticing quite a bit of good growth and polyp extention.

Hair algae still in its prime and hammer coral hasnt come out in the last few days. Mysetirious crab still on the move too.

I have also noticed a bunch brittle stars popping out.

Have you thought of sun polyps they are beautiful really vibrant. I like SH tank image he has a really nice sun polyp. Or maybe some frogspawn??

Just some thoughts

I am sure what ever you choose it it will add to a nice looking reef.. I would love some coraline algae on the back of my tank still not shown up.

Regards :good:

I just got a new clam after about 5 months for the death of my crocea. I was visiting Tampa I fell in love with. In about fifteen minutes of acclimation the clam opened up and seems pretty happy.

I did have a few questions about this clam.
First of all what kind is it? I was thinking Spuamosa but not sure.
And second Where is a good postion in the tank for it?
Thanks everyone.

Hi, I just read your thread. Nice tank!

From that picture of the clam I'm thinking maxima, but did you have a look at the shell? Is it longer than it is tall or pretty close to the same height and length? The former would a maxima and latter a squamosa.

The sand bed is usually the best place to avoid falls unless you don't have enough light to allow it to be placed down there. I can't remember what kind of light that sunpod puts out so you or someone else would have to make that call.

Thanks everybody.I would agree that its a maxima specifically a golden. I seems to like the new tank. When its fully opened it has some greenish colors on the rims.It iss really neat.

Hey everybody... today my little clown goby was killed by a filter. I know he ate my sps and I did like him completely but Im sad I lost him. :-( But he's in a better place. :byebye: :rip:

I just got a new coral for the Holiday. Its an acro of sorts but I still dont know what kind could some one please ID it for me? I am happy to say that this one seems like the only hard coral that has stayed healthy looking over night in my tank
