dont rush inpt the aqua rays. the current ones arent really upto scratch. TMC have released plans to get some new ones out soon that are actually comparable to the sort of output you see from a MH.

If they fall short or are megga bucks then it should knock the price of the current ones down atleast.

I think ATM DIY LED's is the way to go if you want LED's. No manufacturer is making units that include LED's with good output, either due to lacking power or a dodgy spectrum output... I've installed Luxeon Star III's in my own rig, and they work a treat. On paper, you need 5 to match a 150W Halide. They are warm white and make the tank look more dimly lit, but they have made a couple of the lower down corals semi-bleach, which presumably means they are seeing a significantly higher output at deapths than the halide gave. I'll report back on growth rates once they've been on for a while though, they've only been installed for about a week, and the computer controlled dimming bit is still to be added

Um I have 2 plates at the front, 1 orange and 1 pale green so the blue (can't see pics at work) is probably the blue mushie rock I also have

I'll have to take a better video clip where I'm not in such a rush and haven't got the OH playing on the PS3 in the background

I've cleaned the glass and done a water change so I'll do the tank pics tonight

I had a scare the other morning when I stumbled out of bed and into the front room without my glasses on.

I thought my cleaner shrimp had been sucked into the koralia as there was an entire skin stuck to it! When I put my specs on I realised it was just a moult in one piece still

If I had a pound for every time that's scared me....
