Congrats hon and here is hoping for them spawning. I agree with Harlequins on the hatching and fry rate :good: though as to how easy depends on the species and setup (and perhaps experience? ) just give it a good go and sure will have frylets in no time

Well i put an algae wafer in last night before i went to bed and it's gone so they are eating because my guppies don't tend to touch the algae wafers. They have a stronger colour now with them not being as stressed and have been playing around this morning. 1 of them did chase my female guppy but then it stopped and went back to chasing the other cory, They keep taking it in turns so by this i mean 1 chases the other 1 then they swap over. Hopefully i will have a good day at school.

I had a pretty good day today. When i got in they were at the chasing game again  They must be getting used to me because i put an algae wafer in for the day and when i sat infront of the tank they came and ate it there and then and it was at the front of the tank.

This is just a warning.

Sorry if i snap at people my BF just kind of "set me up" in a way! Our last convo went like this.

Me:Can you come round for abit?
Him:Sure i'll be round at 20 to 6.
I wait till 6pm still a no show.
I go round to ask him and as i step out the door i see his friend walk past, his friend goes into their house.
Me:Where have you been?
Him:silence.
I leave.

Aw hon sorry you are having a bad time hon, dont worry we all snap (though havent noticed it with you). Hope the cories are still settling in well and enjoying their wafers xx

Yep they are enjoying their wafers just done a small sand vac to get most or all of the excess dirt off the sand and i have mannaged to master getting the dirt without getting the sand. Btw i don't know if anyone noticed but i'm only 13 and i've been told i sound much older in my posts.

LOL it is a knack with the siphon and sand, took me a good while! Do disturb the sand when you do water changes as pockets of air can build up in the sand and best to release these or prevent build up :good:

The sand gets disturbed when i'm putting the fresh water in. It's sometimes flies out of the big tube straight onto the sand so it gets disturbed alright.

OMG!! the 2 corys that i already have, have spawned on the side of the breeding trap that i usually put my fry from my guppies in. I put the trap in a couple of days ago to be ready for any guppy fry and now i realize that the corys have used it to spawn on! I know this is going to be hard but i will give it my best shot.

Great stuff - hope they hatch for you!

Can you move the eggs into the trap to keep them safe? You also need to keep a flow of water gushing over them to stop them going furry and not hatching. I usually put my breeding net right in front of the output from my filter but this won't work with a plastic trap.

:good:

Yeah i've put them in a trap and i've got an airstone in with them. I only have a plastic trap so i have had to use an airstone.
