Going to miss them

Will hopefully get the UV unit on Tuesday/Wednesday, cleaned the filters out yesterday, there were tonnes of larvae in there only about a week after I last cleaned but no mini worms for the tank fishies

My new matsuba is really active it's quite often poking it's head of in the middle of the oxygenating weed and was first up to the food most of yesterday.

When cleaning the filter yesterday I decided to check the bottom pond for fry (no luck) but I netted some of my goldfish that I had in my tank and there an awesome shape and colour, some are still completely brown at the moment. Also netted our lovely big green tench, he's well on his way to be a foot and the golden tench in that pond aren't far behind. Any ideas if tench will breed in a pond? There's 3 or 4 in each pond.

Hmmmm well thats a nice long post....I'm bored!!

Well I was just browsing some Koi sale sights and came across one I used to look at alot, basically if you are very rich and into Koi this is the site to go. They had a Kamiya Maruten Kohaku. This spectacular Maruten Kohaku is a three year old female from the original Kamiya Kohaku breeding, daughter of the All Japan Show Grand Champion. The starting bid was a mere 6,800. Thats pretty cheap in their terms!

I released my rudd this afternoon when the sun came out again, I fear the worst for them though as I couldn't see what was going on properly but I saw my new matsuba chasing them a bit.

Just been out to have a look and saw 3 then 1 decided to start going down the water fall I got him back into the top pond OK though, no doubt some will fall into the bottom pond.
