Sounds like it was best although that is not any easier, the Cat we had put down had lumps everywhere and was in a really bad way, the first Vet we had kept saying there was nothing wrong so we took him elsewhere and they found it out. Useless Vet, he got told, although he couldn't speak much English which porbably helped him then.

Oh yes found your home made hood, I reakon I could do something like that, maybe use some thick plywood instead, I still need to buy lighting gear to put in it though.

I e-mailed one place and they want 25 for hood and lighting stuff.

but if I pick up a cheap tank locally it might have all of that

haha some chance,i think i got less dosh than you at the moment ,wooden ones easy to make i use contiboard simple square/rectangle with a lip fixed round the inside cut a bit to fit inside and presto one hood/lid for the light one of em fridge jobs you can buy the whole unit for a couple of quid ,sheet of plastic will stand you about £5 for 3x2 sheet

sayings that £25 aint bad itl not cost much less to make one

Yer was a bit tricky!! I bid at 4 mins left then got out bid then bid again then out bid again so i waited untilt there was 40 seconds left then bid

Might aswell post it here aswell even though we spoke in chat.....I'm going to get sharks for it, clown loach and some bottom dwellers ike plecs etc, I'll get my LFS dude brains picked to bits!!

Bros picking it up tonight, so should beable to report on it around 8 !!

I'ved just realized my mum has a bigger tank than me with a hood to put a hand made wooden ship in it's jus a few inches bigger on each dimention than my 10 gallon.

had news from my bro ad he went round there as the tel number didn't work and they weren't ready for it to be picked up now, so I have to wait a whole day, until the middle ish of tomorow, I need to sort some seating arrangement in my room, think i'll have to take the window sile out or maybe move one of my shevling units....decisions decisions. I might have to get rid of the shevles I only made a few weeks back

well i got the sleeping part and sitting down sorted when my cloths aren;t on the big ol armchair

i want to gte the new tank with water and running before I go away so I can get fishies for it when I get back

my main problem will be trying to sleep with 2 tanks running...i can sleep with 1 tank which includes the powerhead and a 2 outlet air pump and my pc running, not sure what this other tank has though.

Thought I'd mention that now the waters clear I can see all my rudd babies and there doing great, they stay aorund the surface picking the crushed flakes for ages and when I go to the pond there darting aorund everywhere.

Koi are doing great aswell, we'll need another pond for them for next summer I reakon. Maybe I'll not buy another tank and save money towards that, although saving doesn't come easily to me
