Looking good mate, check ya filter compartment for the shrimp, they love it in there. When you next enter it seeif you can move the bit of wood at the front or get a side on shot so people can see more of the scape then you'll get more votes I reckon, I voted for ya any way mate soz mint lol

I've seen a few shrimp climbing through the grill at the top of the tank and having a good old munch on top of the sponge, but I'm not sure if they would fit in the small return at the bottom of the tank it's only a tiny hole and the sponge fits pretty tightly against it, I'll whip it out and check though.

Evening All

I'm pretty happy with how the tank is looking at the moment and judging by the amount of new growth appearing on the Crypts I won't need anymore plants anytime soon, but I have been thinking of maybe adding some more Shrimp I'm hoping the Cherries will breed in there and if I get over run with them I can move some into my other tank.

So how many Shrimp do you think I could sensibly get away with in the tank?

I quite like the look of the Bumblebee Shrimp, and from what I've been reading they seem to be pretty hardy too, I'm not too bothered about them being a high grade.

Does anyone here keep/breed anything else? I know a few of you are breeding CRS but they seem a bit pricey unless anyone has some low grade ones going cheap

as for shrimp, how many you got in there??

also CRS, will breed like cherries IME, just a little slower. Have a look on Ebay, theres a couple of sellers doing some good deals on them at the mo.

Cheers Ian, yeah it will definitely need a trim soon it's getting a bit long and straggly in places.

I've currently got 10 Cherries and 2 Amanos, plus the Rabbit snail and the Nerite snail.

Cool that's about the number I had in mind especially as they are a bit more expensive than the Cherries. Hopefully I can get a decent colony of Cherries in the Spec then in my other tank too.
