Looks beautiful I actually quite like all those colours together they aren't too bad

I suppose that 'thing' is quite a nice contrast compared to the others! Also against the black background would stand out!

After my visit to the lfs I have fallen for the mandarins, decided against the chromis completely and found a coupld more possibilities!! I have stolen coral (comp program haha) from work and stolen fishys idea instead of getting someone else to do my hard work for me lol!

Sooooo who can name all the fish! haha

Right been to the lfs Got some sand and advice on fish! He said dont bother with chromis as its hit and miss, can get other nice fish instead. No to strawberry dottyback too agresive. The longfin anthias is hawaian (sp?) so suggested the square spot instead which they have in, beautiful fish He said instead of the royal gramma to look at the blackcap basslet.

Any views against those? Also what about the following that he suggested:

Firefish (I know they are good!)
signal goby
coral beauty (he said can go with flame angel if added together)
Zebra swallowtail
dispar anthias

Yay or nay to the above?

I hate being the one to say no! So sorry for this reply but!! Dwarf Angels will generally fight - and a coral beauty and a flame have a big possibility to fight even if added at the same time although the risk is reduced in a tank your size. You could try it but make sure your LFS will take one back if they do fight and that you watch them very carefully and have an open mind that it might not work!!

Firefish are ace!! Get one! They can be shy though.

Signal goby often starve and are hard to keep alive. They normally don't take to foods offered.

Blackcap and royals are very similar in behaviour, blackcaps grow a tad bigger but are about double (or more) the price!! Not worth it to me, but if you like them and want pay for it then wicked-go for it!

As far as I know anthias are really easy to care for, and pretty hardy. Pretty peaceful fish.

Yea I said to him I heard only one dwarf angel ad he just suggested it possibly would work, I know they would take it back but don't think I will risk it tbh! Thank you

Oh I saw a signal goby today and thought he was lovely! The only thing is the lfs are very good and keep fish for 4 weeks before selling generally, if I saw him eating would it help and be better?

I would rather the blackcap as it is one colour, I have the yellow on the royal gramma in the yellow tang so thought nicer one colour and he was lovely in the shop!! It will be a decision maybe made at the time of which I want royal or black

Anthias seem really good and the colours are lovely, he said some can even be as a shoal but I am now coming around to the one of each fish idea, he said a lot of fish will shoal sometimes but then leave the rest now and again. Also he really advised against chromis as they are hit and miss.

Apart from that is it seeming ok? There is definately room for changes still They also have tank bred black percula clowns in there which I might go for instead of commons,although I kind of want nemo. He thinks Regal will be ok in my tank but if it got so big it was a problem they would be able to help.

Im not worried about 'bad news' about what doesnt work as I want to avoid problems in the long run!

yeh sounds sensible! I do like the black caps more but they're so expensive for something so similar! dont blame you wanting one though!!

I really dont know much about Anthias i'm afraid!!

I dont think the signal goby will eat as they sift through the sand for their food but extinguish the food source very quickly. They need a diet of parasites, worms etc. Very hard to keep, wouldnt recommend, but you can try. Make sure you have a deep sand bed if you do.

You gotta go common clowns to start with - love Nemo!!

Ah ok will pass on the signal, plan on a thin sand bed, bought my sand today so I know it won't be deep! Thank you!

I know, Nemo rules! Going nemo-ish, got nemo, dory, bubbles, gurgle if get a royal gramma,might just chuck bruce in there too haha

was temted to get a longfin bannerfish instead of morrish idol for gill. Can get the pacific cleaner shrimp for jacques (oh yes I love nemo I know the names haha)

I sort of like the four striped damsels but not overly sure...

you better get researching those anthias so you have some knowledge

errrhmmmm....... forgetting something aren't we?

i dont think 2 firefish can go together as they fight.
mandarins are hard to keep as they need to be fed live food.
coral beauty and flame angel together would not be a good idea.

Nemo fan! Wicked!! Could you fit Bruce in there?! Lol!!! trust me flo (4stripe) are mean.!! You don't want one! Although they shoal if you want a few, and they'd be less aggressive!

The copperband was originally on my list and I cant remember why he went off it! lol it was between that and a yellow long nosed (tad) haha

I have read alot of posts about Mandys and wasnt bothered about the effort to keep them until I actually saw one and fell in love with them haha! They have a beautiful pair in the lfs atm!
