Do You Talk To Your Fish?

always say hello when i come home ...........bye when i go out & night night when the moonlights go off!!!

the only thing i say is to my male molly,LEAVE THE GIRL ALONE FOR ONE MINUTE WOULD YOU!,mind you it dont work,he carrys right on anyway  .

I must confess to saying "Hello Fishies" every time I go to have a look in the tank or to feed them!

If I were an eligible female (married 17 years) and I saw you talking to your fish I'd know you were a wonderful person, because you care so much about even the small creatures of the world. Don't be embarrassed and don't stay with someone that thinks your talking to your fish is weird!

Debra

I'm at least moderately fond of my husband , and he thinks I'm a total wierdo for talking to my fish... :*) ... to be fair, even I think me talking to my fish is wierd....

I talk to them all of the time. My boyfriend thinks I'm nuts :) I've always talked to all my pets, and I think it helps to form a bond with them.

I just got back from school and said to my bettas: 'Now, my mum and Morgan are going out to the doctors' now, but I'll be upstairs.'

 Hang on.... I told my bettas that my mum and sister were going to the doctors?

Now that I come to think about it I tell them lots of things, like, 'I'm going to a party now boys, be back soon!' And, 'Water change tonight guys!'

Does anyone else talk to their fish?
I talk to my fish more than i talk to my hubby lol. Fish dont argue back. They are grateful when you give them their dinner. O.k so i cant cook , not the end of the world lol.

i always talk to my fish, after all they are my lil red belly bubs!! and the lobster gets lots of attention too!! i think its great!!!!

 Yup I most certainly do...I say hello and goodbye and goodnight too, as well as telling them off and encouraging them and telling them how cute/silly/greedy/mad they are...I was asking one of my shrimps the other day why it was so hyperactive - needless to say it didn't answer

I say hello to my fish in that voice that you use for pets and very small children. They definitely respond and they are Mollies, so not supposed to be all that bright. The Cardinals take no notice. :)

I talk to all my fish and most recently my new juvy shrimp. I tell them that they're so handsome or so cute or it's time to eat. Just like I would talk to my dogs or cats!

Yes I do. Well then again so do my wife and kids. I've always heard you can talk to yourself as long as you dont answer, does this apply to talking to the fish? If so Brentwood hospital is just up the road. :fish:

Considering that I regularly talk to my plants, it stands to reason that I would also talk to my fish. It's not like I engage in philosophical discussions about the meaning of life. I mostly talk to them how I talk to my dog. I think they like, especially the bettas. :S

I talk to all of mine. they all have names.. well except for the neons and the glowlights, they have a name for all of them.. well neons 1 name and then glowlights the other. I talk to my fry and will them to grow big and strong and go in the big tank and that they will be having some friends soon. and I tell them off when I do a water change and spill water.. Serenity waves to them so i wave too but yes I talk to them alot.

We talk to most of our fish but mostly Martha.

Martha now recognises some words and actually reponds to them.

If she's resting on the bottom and I say "Martha, Prawn!" she will come to the surface in anticipation of being fed.

Also if she's resting and we call her name she will come to the glass and wave her fins like a puppy wagging its tail.

"Night night Martha" will almost always result in her burying herself ready for lights out.

Martha is the best fish EVER!
