Dawn On The Reef

Die hard's in my lrc utilize Ranco temp. controllers. I'll be getting one eventually. Glad you did catch it and were ably to rectify it quickly

The story so far with the tank is that I'm trying to upgrade the light intensity with different tube configs. I'm currently in the process of constructing a new sump, albeit slightly smaller in height to accomodate a hang on skimmer. The flow around the tank needs upgrading due to recent aquisitoons of SPS corals. so thats the hard graft end of the project at this present moment in time. So on a lighter note here's some pics from this evening.

Cheers PT.
Just ordered a new return pump, namely a NewJet nj3000, I think this pump will suit my needs for upgrading the flow within the tank as it can be used externally therefore saving valuable space within the sump and it has an adjustable flowrate of between 1200-3000 ltr/hr (mfg stats, which I expect will be slightly over-rated).
Gonna have to seriously throttle back on spending now, what is it when your off work at holiday times that makes you just want to just spend money....wierd.

Yeah that was the one. 2' cube, sounds like it will be a good build with no equipment visable.
Are you still building a frag system too?

That's pretty much on the back burner for the minute Ben whilst I get all the new modding done on the Nano first,
Pretty much gonna have to renew all the return flexipipe plumbing from the sump via a new MJ3000 pump (more woosh!)
First things first though, next weeks task is getting the sump built, I really need this to be up and running by next weekend as I have been running skimmerless for over two weeks now. So that job is number one priority. Still pondering over lighting mods though. If it were me I'd jump straight in and stick the MH pendant up but the missus dont think they're asthetically pleasing on the eye. So I'll have to divise a plan.

Tell her you had an accident and mite have flooded or burnt the house down while shes out. Then sneak up the light. When she comes home expecting a bomb site and the only thing changed is the light then your sorted

Sounds Good Ben but ......NO
