Apologies, below is the definition of the term. Perhaps it's more popular here in the UK.
Again, perhaps this is only applicable to the UK however there are growing number of people who thinks that the government's current policies will have damaging, irreversible impact.

No country have actually put aside their differences though. On contratry, countries are now free to impose any measures they seem fit.
If your livelehood depends on, for example, running a pub (or bar for the Americans ) how would you feel if the government forces you to shut for months?

My livelihood does depend on it, I work in the wedding industry............
We locked down too late and relaxed too early, I also understand there is no exit plan for this, we may never have a vaccine and herd immunity may never happen. And I have lost friends to this too.

However the UK government is just digging a deeper hole. Did you see Prof. Chris Witty's speech today? He is a nervous wreck, almost if he knows that the facts don't fully support the agenda the government is pushing.

Herd immunity wont happen because some people are catching the virus twice. Given 80% of people catch it without symptoms is quite extraordinary, this is lke HIV, people get it and don't show sumptoms for a very long time and by then its too late, they already spread d it everywhere. This is scary.

I saw some of his speech, I think he has a good reason to be nervous in his position, but I do believe he was very reasonable in saying the state of the country would have been worse if it were not for the containment activities. You just have to look at America and see how they are not practicsing social distancing at al, and they have extreme levels of death. There is no deception there.

As you can see, it takes years and maybe even decades for them to create a viable vaccine.

That is EXACTLY why people are saying they don't want to take a vaccine that the governments are hoping to pump out with virtually no testing..

This makes perfect sense actually, pub = everyone goes there to get drunk cough all over each other, spit as a they slur their words and bump into each other because they are drunk..

Restaurant = you go there to sit at a table and eat your meal sensibly and then go home..

the Flu didn't have a cure when it was first discovered. They are supposedly creating a vaccine for Covid-19, but they aren't coming up with anything...

The common cold is a corona virus!!!

Shouldn't laugh. But I've worked for the gov (and spent far too long on Excel), and this does not surprise me one bit.

Last time I did any work for them was in 2015 and I vowed never again. Staggeringly at the time the department I was with was paying exhorbitant sums of money to Microsoft to continue supporting them on Windows XP. For those less familiar with IT windows XP retired with dignity in 2009 and was officially cremated and buried in April 2014.
