Coronavirus...post your thoughts here...

A family friend in queenstown got a visit from the police for driving 2 kilometers to the trailhead before his 80 kilometer run, he got a warning because you arent allowed to use your car as part of your exercise during the lockdown, honestly he would have been better off just running the extra 2k

I am struggling to understand why you felt it appropriate to add a swear word here, for no good productive reason and yet you accused me of being rude to the Tenth Dr, when all I did was challenge his authority of providing a competent opinion of health matters when he sells, sorry sorry, MAKES food that causes obesity and diabetes..

Anyway this is my YouTube channel, have a nice day.

She was quoting Colin's post from before she edited it, that's all. All food can cause obesity and diabetes, no one forces people to go to McDonald's. Working at McDonald's has no impact on whether you can form opinions about health or not.

People do that here too. They drive to the South Perth foreshore and cycle around the foreshore before driving home. Why not just cycle to the foreshore, cycle around it and then cycle home?

We used to have a dog park over the road from us and people would drive 1 or 2km to the park and then let their dogs run around before driving home. Why not just walk the dog to the park, let it run around and then walk it home?

Yeah if you're close to where you wanna go it shouldn't be hard, I just think it's funny that they gave him a written notice, he definitely stayed away form people, not many people want to run 80 kilometers every other day

Not really on topic, but Ukraine just busted a big human trafficking ring that sold babies to single chinese men.... sorry just had to share, human trafficking is a huge thing to me

@snailaquarium I have no idea what you are talking about!

NHS England have been writing to people who fall in the high risk catagory to tell them to stay in for at least 12 weeks. My mum received her letter today which surprised us because we thought they'd sent all the letters out weeks ago. According to the letter neither of us should be leaving the house at all and shouldn't even be sharing living spaces. This is completely impractical in the size of house we live in as well as the fact we have 2 dogs who need exercising although the little one would be extremely happy to not have to have her harness on.
I don't know whether I should contact my work because if lock down ends in less than 12 weeks and they can reopen then I would assume the furlough scheme finishes so knowing what will happen with my pay would be useful but at the same time I'm concerned that by telling them it would knock me off the furlough scheme now.
I'm assuming from reading her letter that my own letter is on the way because it also addresses carers of people in the high risk group.

Don't tell your work anything yet. Wait until you get called back to work.

Take the dogs for a walk later at night or really early in the morning when fewer people are out and about. I used to walk during the day and again in the evening but now I head out at 11pm. It's nice and quiet and peaceful and I don't see too many people.

or get a treadmill for you and the dogs

That's probably what I'm going to do. They did tell us not to contact mangers while we're furloughed.
They come to the horses with me, private set up so it's just us down there in a completely enclosed space so that's not too much of a bother. If I still had my big dog I would walk late at night round here because he hates men and let them know it but now my protection consists of a chihuahua and a pug X I wouldn't risk it. When I said the behaviour in Salford detailed in that article wasn't unusual I meant it, police are frequent flyers round here.
I've had a look at online shopping and there are no slots available for quite a while but since I go late and use the self scanners that are sanitised after every use the risk is low.
Just surprised to have received a letter so late into this. I assume they're sending them in waves. Still haven't got our Boris letter yet.
