That may get you hurt.or maybe just "wink"
After I made the post about giving a wink, I just heard the interviewer on CNN who was interviewing the Surgeon General say that a wink might be a better way instead of a handshake or elbow bump. That may get you hurt.
The virologists working on this say it will be at least 18 months before they get a vaccine, assuming they can make one.
Vaccines in general are safe and most problems occur from the preservatives that are mixed in with them.
Vaccines are normally a liquid with dead virus cells in. They inject the dead virus into your body and our immune system says "wo, that should be here" and attacks the dead virus. The immune system then remembers what the virus cells looks like and attacks any new viruses like that.
But I am not sure I would be the first to get the vaccine. I would wait until people have had the vaccine for a few weeks and if everything was good, then get it.
That is actually very ironic!Dutch PM shakes hands after announcing a no handshake policy

I didn't know that but I did find a link about it from the World Health Organization. For anyone interested, the link is here:I am lery of a lot of vaccines because most of them contain mercury which is extremely toxic and known to cause brain damage. Several of my siblings have nuerological damage associated with getting vaccines such as nervous tics and facial twitches. Nothing too serious but thats what happens when you get mercury injected into your body. HOWEVER it is possible to get vaccines without mercury as a perservative
I had every vaccine available when I was a child (back then it was only diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus and polio as a baby and boosters later. And the TB vaccine as a baby). I have the flu vaccine every year. I've had the pneumonia vaccine. I've had no problems.
Measles, mumps, rubella etc were not available when I was a child so I had the diseases. Luckily I had no after effects from measles.
