The average Chinese person does not eat raw bats or any animals raw. That's just the media making it sound more dramatic to get more viewers. There might be a few weirdos out there that do but most people won't eat raw meat unless they absolutely have to.
The virus originated from animals and there was a jump in species from animal to human. Whether the original infected animal was from the market or was in the wild when the virus jumped species is unknown.
