This is true. ^I tried to buy toilet paper today but couldn't. This is the 6th day in a row I have been unable to get any. I am not trying to stock up I just need some to use, down to my last roll. Too much information, sorry.
Anyway, the chick at woollies supermarket had just given a guy a 16 pack of toilet paper so I went and asked her if I could buy a 4 pack. She said no, all the paper is being held until the morning when the store opens. I said what about the Asian guy you just gave some to? She ignored me and walked off.
So it appears that the staff are giving toilet paper to some customers but refusing to sell it to other customers. And the people that do their shopping at 8am get to buy toilet paper but people that shop after lunch miss out.
Toilet paper, tissues and paper towels are actually made in Australia so there is no reason for people to be stock piling it here. The ironic part is people aren't stock piling food. So they are buying heaps of dunny paper but normal amounts of food. What the hell are they doing with 200 rolls of toilet paper. If you don't have much food you don't need much toilet paper.
