I have seen the real thing (tornado) up close

i live in Kansas which is like tornado capitol of the world but never seen one, ive only been here a couple years, so i still got time, fingers crossed

In 2013 or 2014 in May, I was traveling west through Nebraska on I 80 when we ran into several. They where moving north from Oklahoma and Kansas. One went right over us when we stopped in a small town, A little while later another one came along and I was able to get out of it's way. Then 3 more were coming in a line and of coarse we are out in the middle of nowhere so peddle to the metal again and we left them behind then another shows up and same thing. They were easy to out run when you are heading west and they are going north. But then we got caught in really heavy rain and flying debris hit my front window and broke it, the rain was going sideways and things were flying, it passed right behind us. We could not see it until it was right on top of us. Several people were killed that day. I have seen several tornadoes but only one at a time until that day.
