Betta Show Pictures

:hey: You girls look great as always. ( Julie)

The bettas are fantastic  ....still too funny that Stephi bought a veil from the fish store too though. I don't even know which to comment on....they are all so great....I think I will just leave it at that. Great winnings and purchases, girls. :D

I got back home last night and my fishies should arrive later this afternoon. I hope they settle in wuick because I leave for Lake Tahoe in the morning :/ I feel bad leaving them so fast, but they are in good hands while I'm gone

I am also happy to report that my microworms and vinegar eels came back in my suitcase and secrucity didn't even look twice at them :)

It was a short trip but Julie and I made the most of it by not sleeping :look: It was so good to meet these girls as well as the betta celebs that were there. Speaking of, during the auction Marianne Lewis (bcbetta) was bidding on a fish and it was going twice in her favor and someone in the back throws up a bid....She yells "Back off!" in her thick french accent, so it was more like "Buck off!" She was hilarious, and you should have seen how fast she could bag those fish

God, she was so funny. She cared about the bettas a lot, too - whenever she would bag one up that didn't look perky (or in one case, one that had gill flukes!), she would tell the new owner and suggest treatment. Very cool. (I ws one of those gals - I got a beautiful, tiny copper plakat that has clamped fins, and she immediately pulled me aside after bagging him and told me to treat him with some copper when I got home. He's looking better now.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe she told another competing bidder to "sod off". She was too funny, and it was neat to meet her.

Sorrell - glad to hear you got home with no major airport activity! And I hope you have a great time in Tahoe.
