Aqua One 60L My First Ever Planted Tank

im sure theres algae on my val already, kinda looks like dust stuck to the leaves. will try and get a decent pic.

3 zebra nerite snails added, rotala and hc seem to be growing well. water still a little cloudy and 0 ammonia or nitrite, maybe thats just how my water is?

if you compare this full tank shot with the one 4 days ago when i added co2 you can really tell a difference i think.

might purchase a few fish today :)

Nice improvement. You can definately see the growth. The water has cleared more as well.

I started out with vallis and it just couldn't survive. I'm not sure whether its my water hardness or the fact that I was dosing easycarbo but it disappeared!

im dosing flourish excel but less than the recommended dose, funny thing is HC is supposed to be the hardest to grow and its doing beter than valis which is said to be easy

Vallis is funny really! There are a few alternatives available. There are some taller crytocorynes which are really nice, I think they'd suit that scape, thats if the vallis does die. might just be settling in still.

nice growth, good to see the HC doing well! :good:

What lighting are you using? Both tubes or one?

im using 2 out of the 3 tubes for 6 hours a day (2x24w t5`s)

added some hygrophila polysperma, loads more hc, java moss tied to wood and cryptocoryne wendtii green. bought my first fish 5 black phantom tetra. binned the anubias bonsai didnt really like it from day 1.
