A Very English Spring

Send it to me, and I shall give it the proper conditions for growth! LOLOLOL

it is sending off tiny shoots. It would probs grow better in an envelope for a week anyways!

I'm always jealous of your tanks Ian - it's like you have the Midas touch! Love this new scape more than your previous ones, will enjoy watching it mature.

Re te hydro, you're probably right about it growing better in an envelope! Never had any luck growing it in any of my other tanks, but put it in the low light, no ferts, rubbish circulation tank and it thrives!!

thanks Chris, that means a lot! :)

This species is relatively new on the market, so there's not a lot to go on. There is a bit more in the back of the tank where the flow isn't as great, and that thriving. It seems a very delicate plant. It has a really nice aroma to it as well. Smells a little like parsley!

Credit where credits due and all that malarky!

Hmmm, parsley! Sounds interesting to say the least, will be keeping my eye on this to see how it turns out! If it doesn't grow, you could just whip it out and use it as a salad garnish ;)

Keep an eye ln the donations thread and when/if it takes off ill send you some.

Haha! Hydro is a weed in my front yard. Not that specific species Ian has in his tank, but a close relative.

Told ya Ian, you need to send it to live in my dumpy tank.

just a few from tonight, things are going well, the stems continue to grow well. The Hydrocotle is coming back, slowly, but surely.

Hey, this looks awesome! My scaping is kinda limited by the height of my tank, & I always did like the corner setups... Will have to start saving my pennies, I'm quite jealous!

Corner tanks certainly have their challenges and their apeal. That's looking great, Ian.

Looking good dude, your stems in the middle about ready for bed in that pic lol.

cheers Steve!

weekly update...

I got sick of staring at the heater in the tank, so decided to get a Hydor external heater (i love hydor stuff at the mo!).

just a quick question for those that use these, are they OK at a 45 degree angle or do they have to be vertical? there are mixed reports on the net, it's at 45 at the moment and is working well, i just don't want to burn the house down. The wife wouldn't be best pleased.

The Hydro is coming back with a vengeance, there is still a little melt, not as much as before.

Also i have noticed that one of my 'Tropica' leaves is growing like a Wendtii brown?? anyone?

stems have also been trimmed today, they were going mental!

Looking great Ian, the Hydor heaters switch off automatically when they are not in contact with water, quite a nice feature.

cheers Jack! Have you used them? They should be OK @45 degrees shouldn't they.

I was considering one a few years ago, I'm tempted to put one on my current tank as I hate how obtrusive the heater is, I read into them a bit and found that out, yes it should be fine.
