A Very English Spring

thanks for that, they are quite bulky, but well worth it IMO, you don't realise how intrusive heaters are until you take em out. They also take up a bit of space as well.

Looks much better without the heater in Ian! I'm getting one of the hydor heaters as soon as I get the go ahead from the man-wife to start spending money on the tank again. Can't wait!

also, your Tropica doesn't look like mine...

The heaters are well worth it, Cazzie. The plants is deffo a Tropica, it seems to have a rogue leaf though. I will keep an eye on it!

Looking good dude, I like it with the stems a little lower but that's prob because they looked ready to close up for the night in the other pic. Keep trimming :good: I'm hooked on hydor goodies after getting my prime, will be investing in an external heater once I get some spare cash, spent a little over £300 this month lol.

The problem is the Limnophila grows really fast and the Ludwigia inclinata and P. stellata aren't catching up in time and getting shaded. Hydor filters are pretty impressive arn't they Steve!! Well worth the money.

Oh yes, defo worth the money, esp as I got mine for free lol, leaky filter, money back, leak stopped lol.

I believe you, but in that pic it doesn't look like my Tropicas! ;)

Nice one! :hyper:

And you sound like me with the pennies. Gotta skip it this month though as he's buying a new bike & gear  fed up of peasant wagons!

Lol only cos ya can't spend money on fishy things lol

I meant he's fed up of them. I ain't fussy. To be fair, he's just been headhunted for a job in Manchester, and that's not a feasible commute via bus/train every day
But yes, it means no (or very little ;) ) fishy treats for me this month

weekly update time!

With this tank being a corner tank, i have taken some pics of the 3 main angles it's viewed from. Everything appears to be doing well. I have added a Aponogeton crispus 'red' after seeing Mark Evan's pic of the plant. I just hope mine gets as red :good:

excuse the pipes and powerhead.

Looking great Ian, very impressive. When did you change your filter? Any reason for ditching the APS?

it's nice to see it with a bit of equipment in there - proves you are human too!

Thanks Chris! I'd love to do the glass this in this tank, but it's just not possible with the Trigon.

Cheers James, good to see you around!

The APS went kaput, it just stopped working. I have to go to my LFS and buy a new one, i came out with a Hydor Prime 30, which i'm over the moon with. I didn't realise how poor the flow was on the APS until i struck this filter up. It was only £60 as well.

It also proves he's honest about the maintenance and care of his system. Something to admire. :good: Not everyone is and that bothers me about the hobby.

I like the aponogeton, what a nice touch of red that will be.

Yay! Corner tanks! :yahoo:

Looking awesome Ian, last pic is my fav, really gives an awesome sense of depth. :good:
